No... my only daily goal is to wake up in the morning. Anything else is pushing my luck.

Driving home from the dentist's, I heard on the radio that some parts of Buffalo may get up to 5' (not a typo - five feet) of ... wait for it ... lake effect snow.
It is a gett'n worse in good 'ole Buffalo
These remind me of some Asian peeps that would bind their baby girls feet to keep them small while pretty much crippling the tot. These look just as torturous.
Wow. That's some interesting present and b-day you gave your DD.
Seriously, we don't do it. I don't know anyone who does.
Even in my boys' grade school, every child had to have one pair of outdoor shoes (or boots), and another pair of shoes or slippers for indoors.
Hubby and I do a 48-hour getaway to Buffalo twice a year.
Once in May, for our anniversary.
And once, the week after Black Friday, for Christmas shopping.
About five years ago, during one of our Christmas shopping trips, we went to bed one night with nary a flake in sight, only to wake up to 20+ inches the next morning. We had to mount a 5' snowbank to get to the Denny's next door for brekkie.
And then we went boot shopping.
When we arrived home the next evening, there was zero snow. Less than 70 minutes away.
Buffalo gets hit bad with lake effect snow. Looks like real snow. Feels like real snow. Paralyzes the city like real snow. But according to meteorologists, it's only "lake effect".
Deep fried green beans?
Do we have some mild chipotle dip?
