Yeah, they are a little wacky like me. We have great fun together.Oh Wow! Six months! Are your kids onboard with not taking their stuff out of the bag for 6 months too? What a great tradition.
Ok now I get it. It's funny I didn't remember that from Gilmore Girl. Like I said guys, I think I am hypersensitive due to girlie stuff. I don't mean to be a drag. I should know better than think people on this thread would be mean to me about my son. Like I said: hypersensitive. Now you get to see another side of me that's not so fun. I am sorry. Like at WDW, the ride has temporarily stopped and will resume motion shortly.Ha! And I bet he is a gentleman, that was sweet of your Dad.
You have not been around the thread all that long to likely notice my odd word patterns at times, my
Gabe-isms. ManChild is what I have called my DS (on the forums and elsewhere and to him) since my DD was a toddler when I worked with a woman that referred to her son as ManChild and it stuck. A decade later when I heard the term on Gilmore Girls I loved it and laughed! DS is well well into his 20's, a term of endearment as he will always be my child though now a man but I do use the word ManChild for all male kids from time to time. I love the word. The first time my DSs girlfriend heard ManChild she thought it was a hoot. Now when referring to my DS to me she too calls him ManChild when speaking with me.
As you know, we ended up going to DAK - on the hottest day of our entire trip. Go figure.
Too hot and too many people for Hubby and Tam-Tam.
Of the three day-of FPP's we snagged, we didn't end up using any of them.
We did the Safaris on stand-by.
Not looking to cause a firestorm here, but I have to comment on something that transpired in line, directly in front of us.
A woman decided to walk through the queue and nurse her baby. And for that, I say good on her ... but seriously lady, how about some discretion?
I nursed my first baby for 9 months, and due to some serious issues, I 100% exclusively nursed Son #2 for a whole year. I am militant about a woman's right to feed anytime, anywhere. But when your whole breast is exposed and everyone can see nipple, I call foul! Nobody else seemed impressed, and the more stares and glances she got, the more she flaunted it. Also, baby was not a newborn who needed to be fed on demand, but a 2 year old who then walked the rest of the way after feeding.
YMMV, but I was not impressed. Kinda felt like she was just making a statement.
But I digress. I know Safari pics get old fast, so here are just a few:
And, while attempting to keep my camera always at the ready, but safely in the truck, I took this shot and five more just like it:

CAUTION: The above post contains way, way, way, way, way to much information! Read at your own risk.Oh now I understand. See I never knew about the AK sign prank before coming on this forum so I had to study the picture for a bit to see it. That spurred my joke about being slow. I think I am a little premenstrual so I am more touchy. Bear with me, the hormones should level off soon. Or its more or right?
I am just honored you quoted my post.CAUTION: The above post contains way, way, way, way, way to much information! Read at your own risk.

Now that's a reply! I was trying to come up with something clever but you brought it!It's Tigger. He's looking for Pooh
Gotta hand it to you--the voice of reason about this looney craze for 80% and 90% chocolate bars. They're just not sweet enough, and that kills all the fun. "Foodies" are ruining all the good stuff for us!
Just heard the weather report for Friday morning: forecast is for a dusting, or up to 2 inches of snow!! YEA! I can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning to beautiful snow falling outside! (I've had my winter jackets, mittens, scarves, hats, and boots all ready to go for weeks now.) I'll give you an update in the morning. Stay tuned for exciting developments.
There is a promo today running for tonight's double-header movie night on ABC Family where they use the phrase in a specific tone that sparked memories of a song that I cannot get out of my head now.
: O
Make new friends,
but keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
Silver is precious,
Gold is too.
I am precious,
and so are you.
A circle round
it has no end.
Thats how long
you'll be my friend
Oh my goodness, scouting.
