After the safari, we took a stroll through the new Harambe section.
I've seen dozens of photos of the area, but strangely it was not quite located where I thought it was. Maybe they moved it on Monday, just to disorient me.

It's beautiful there, and wonderfully themed, but I am pretty sure this was not performed by a Union electrician:

We could have walked right into FotLK, and Hubby said, "Go ahead, Honey".
This is not the same as, "Sure, let's go", so I made the executive decision to skip it.

From there, we ambled through Asia, while I looked wistfully at EE. The sweat pouring off the other two in buckets led me to believe that this too, was a no-go for this year.

We headed over to Dinosaur and hopped into a 10 minute Stand-by line. I love this ride, but Hubby's squished knees and Tammy's delicate tummy meant it was going to be a one-and-done.

Mike and I grabbed some frozen lemonade, which we ate in the shade outside the Nemo show. Having seen it last year, I didn't even suggest it to Hubby.

I suggested maybe we should head out, thereby making me hero of the day.

On the way out, you just know I had to get this shot:

Actually, these kind of "shoddy" electrical jobs.. are usual in India, Africa and other poor nations.

Yep, unfortunately they've cut back on a lot of the more unique merch over the years. I really used to love all the carved, vibrantly painted animals... :)

EXACTLY! This is what I'm talking about, and also what Gabe bought as well. I never see merchandise like this anywhere else, and that's why I liked the items in the Mexico pavilion. I also liked ogling the silver jewelry and the really nice belts they sold, too. (I'm not sure how much of the higher end items they're still stocking at this point.) At least they're still selling hot sauces, etc., on one of the carts.

That is my favorite as well. However, I did meet a chocolate I didn't like. My daughter is a no carb. person and she has some 90% Chocolate Bars. OMG, I thought I was going to gag. Chocolate needs sugar to be palatable.

Gotta hand it to you--the voice of reason about this looney craze for 80% and 90% chocolate bars. They're just not sweet enough, and that kills all the fun. "Foodies" are ruining all the good stuff for us! :banghead:

I need some help. Disney Shopping.
I need more help too but that's another story

But I'm looking for an item but I can't find a good price. The Disney Store has this listed as $75 but never have it on their site so I'm am coming to you for help if anybody knows good Disney shopping sites? Not paying an arm and a leg.

On that Amazon site, did you check the "other sellers" down around the bottom right-hand area? They might provide a lead for you, or might be able to get it for you. I don't know about prices, though. Also, have you checked ebay? (I've never shopped on ebay, but I know it's a popular site.)

Just heard the weather report for Friday morning: forecast is for a dusting, or up to 2 inches of snow!! YEA! I can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning to beautiful snow falling outside! :) (I've had my winter jackets, mittens, scarves, hats, and boots all ready to go for weeks now.) I'll give you an update in the morning. Stay tuned for exciting developments.

I bought one of those hot sauces!

(Of course, I did.)
Pics to follow.

You be crazy, girl.

We had a few flurries falling this morning as I drove my son to work. Minus one (30 to you) right now.
I am so not ready for winter after this year's non-summer.

Ok don't judge me but we always have a suitcase that is exclusively for souvenirs that I do not unpack for at least six months after we come back. Now, of course, there are no perishables, but this way, we can be surprised by what we bought. I said don't judge me.

Oh Wow! Six months! Are your kids onboard with not taking their stuff out of the bag for 6 months too? What a great tradition.

We then decided to go to POFQ for lunch (Hellooooo shrimp Po'boy) and spend our Snack Credits on take home cookies.

Another Mutt & Jeff shot.

These never get old. :p:angelic:

Sadly, the gift shop only had 3 or 4 cookie designs, so we hopped on the boat to DTD to go to Goofy's.
Score!
While Hubby headed over to Raglan Road to buy the jersey he had skipped over twice, Tammy and I got in line at EoS.
We all got the Holiday Sandwich:

Hubby was getting antsy at 4:30 (for an 8:15 departure), so we hopped back on the boat for POFQ.

My last 2014 Florida sunset:

And now I'm home. Doing laundry. Lots and lots of laundry.

I like that photo of the Mutt and Jeff. I too walked that pathway the last hour before the MME came to fetch us.

My dad called his mother every night to say good night until the day she died so I don't take offense at my son being called a manchild. However, I prefer to call him a gentleman.

Ha! And I bet he is a gentleman, that was sweet of your Dad.

You have not been around the thread all that long to likely notice my odd word patterns at times, my
Gabe-isms. ManChild is what I have called my DS (on the forums and elsewhere and to him) since my DD was a toddler when I worked with a woman that referred to her son as ManChild and it stuck. A decade later when I heard the term on Gilmore Girls I loved it and laughed! DS is well well into his 20's, a term of endearment as he will always be my child though now a man but I do use the word ManChild for all male kids from time to time. I love the word. :inlove: The first time my DSs girlfriend heard ManChild she thought it was a hoot. Now when referring to my DS to me she too calls him ManChild when speaking with me. :D

Sorry, not what I meant.

I assume you were referring to my Animal Kingdom sign picture ....
These are usually taken and posted by juvenile teenage boys, not 47 year old mothers.

And yes, I know you're not a teenage boy. :joyfull:
Oh now I understand. See I never knew about the AK sign prank before coming on this forum so I had to study the picture for a bit to see it. That spurred my joke about being slow. I think I am a little premenstrual so I am more touchy. Bear with me, the hormones should level off soon. :) Or its more  or  right? :joyfull:
