The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

AAA Diamond Parking turned out to be a bit of a bust this year, but the Diamond Savings Card came in handy. I saved 10% on all my purchases at World of Disney, and 15% at the DTD Basin.
I saved almost $45 on this stash:

In case you can't read the labels, I have a preferred fragrance - Pink Sugar.
All trip photos to the contrary, I am a girly-girl.

The soaps are Christmas gifts for my SIL's and adult nieces.
A couple of years ago, when my dad was dying, I simplified my gift giving for all my siblings, their spouses, and nieces and nephews. Everyone gets one small wrapped gift and a crisp $50 bill.

Obviously, I put a little more (okay a lot more) effort into gifts for Hubby and the boys.
I like your gift idea. I have always like the annual gift that you knew what it was before you open it.

Sorry, I'm way behind on the thread here, but I had to vent - IT"S SNOWING! :bawling:

It's not accumulating or sticking in the slightest, but, still, it's coming down from the sky. :(

We in Illinois are sharing your pain.

This is what 5 of those Goofy hats look like:

Cute, do they cover your ears too?

Did I mention I like bracelets?

All three pieces from "Something Silver" @ DTD, for just under $400.
I couldn't decide which bracelet, so when I asked Hubby to pick one, he said "Both".

And before y'all go thinking he's completely perfect, just remember that he wouldn't come into the Frozen Singalong thing at DHS. Either time.

Pretty. I like just a touch of Mickey. Are the ear rings also Mickey? Can't tell.
Aren't they cute when they're not tearing through the house like lunatics?

Is that the puppies pillow they are parked on?

I cannot/will not "like" your photo.
Yes, the hats cover their ears.
No, the earrings are just round bling.
Yes, the cats have usurped Holly's pillow - seemingly permanently.

This is so cozy! What are their names?
The one on the left is Penny (BBT), and the more vibrantly coloured one is Max (Two Broke Girls).

A couple of years ago, in the space of 6 months, we lost our shih-tzu to cancer, my mother (suddenly and unexpectedly), and our 13 1/2 year old cat, Jack.
Bringing new pets in helps to fill the void a bit.

Also, in completely different.. and in a shocking reveal..
Circle Du Soleil will build an entire theme park, natural park and aquatic park in my hometown!
who knew!
The massive building in one of the main access bridges now makes sense.
The park will be pretty near the sea and next to one of the biggest rivers in Mexico.

I read that yesterday! I was trying to figure out where it was in relationship to your region and promptly gave up on my quest. lol.

A woman can never have too many shoes or purses

I have too many purses as I only carry one a handful of times each year. Now shoes, I work for shoes.

Our generation was raised by a bunch of imbeciles who told us we could do anything we want

Hmm, maybe it depends on your interpretation of " . . . who told us we could do anything we want." When I read that, I thought to myself that probably every generation was raised hearing that. My interpretation is that if you put your mind to something, you will find a way to succeed. That was my first thought.

My second interpretation, was that a generation was raised without any boundaries, and think that they're entitled to anything we want.

So, which one of the above were you referring to? (There's no right or wrong answer to that, I'm just curious about what you thought it meant.)

I really don't know. Lol. I guess I just feel bitter having no real job after college and now no one giving me a chance.

That's understandable. It's sad to see such a talented pool of graduates that cannot find jobs that relate to their career goals. Eventually, something will come your way. I'm sorry to hear about the length of time you (and others) have been looking. I know one guy who took an interim type of job that didn't align with his career goals, but he eventually was hired by a firm that he liked. Sometimes, it's a little easier to get a job if you're already working; employers understand that in this economy, people often work other jobs, just to pay their bills. An interim, unrelated job nowadays, doesn't carry the stigma it once did with prospective employers. Anyway, best of luck to you at your interview in N.Y. tomorrow. :)
