O.k. peeps!! I've got some piccies for you from my vacation last week!! None of them came out all that well, but I picked the least hideous ones to share. :D

In order below (they'll have to be clicked on to see them larger and clearer) are, starting with a few from the Flower & Garden Festival:

1. Topiary of Mickey and Minnie (heading toward World Showcase, from Future World)
2. Floating flowers in the water behind Spaceship Earth and the overhead monorail
3. Topiary of Lady and the Tramp (Italy Pavilion)
4 Hanging flower baskets, World Showcase

Speaking of Samantha Brown (per your comments to ItingriBella), I really miss her shows. I thought she was the perfect host for the travel shows she did, and not just for the Disney shows, but other locations as well. The last time I saw her on tv, she was on some shopping channel promoting a luggage line. What a letdown; I hope she returns to hosting travel shows.
^^^ this, but a few more Disney shows with her would be nice!

One more week until their visit.

At first quick glance, I thought they were the Air Force Thunderbirds, but these planes look different from what I've seen before. What group of flyers are these? (Although I love the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels, there's a number of precision flying groups out there that are exciting to watch.) :)

Edit: I just saw your post with the description. Should be fun to watch!

Twins, actually. I'm happy for her, but, it ruined all my plans. The thing is that we were going to meet accidentally someplace and after a short time, she was going to fall head over heals in love with me. I knew that she was already married, but, I didn't see that as a huge obstacle. Then she had twins and the thought of raising kids again at my age, just took the joy out of it completely. She made her choice and had children when she could have had me. Oh, well... such is life, I guess.
Thanks for the morning chuckle! LOL

Imagine how HE feels! He used to be the cutest freakin' Beatle! Now, he's an old, weedless, grandpappy.

I always thought (during their earlier band years) that John was the most handsome in the group. Then, I thought it was a tie between George and Paul.

@Goofyernmost , I think the biggest reality check for Paul was not from the most recent revelation he shared, but rather, back when he turned 64. The song, "When I'm Sixty-Four" must have hit him hard at that time . .

Didn't post about this earlier 'cause we were a bit worried.
Both DDs and our son-in-law went down along the Blanco River today to help with flood recovery. Back safe and sound, although a bit shook up.
Jonathan McComb, the one and only survivor from the one house that was swept away in Wimberley, Texas spoke to all of them at the Baptist church before they went out to search debris piles.
Although they didn't run across any of the human victims, there was plenty of other nastiness.
So proud that they are such thoughtful and well-rounded human beings. They are all so happy and absolutely love life, but, they also realize it can be all too short, and they always want to try to make things better.

God bless them for their generosity in time and compassion. As I watched the weather mayhem in Texas on the news, it dawned on me just how quickly, and without warning, people can lose everything--not to mention loss of life. It is at times like this that the helpful assistance of complete strangers goes a long way to help those affected. Just when I think that society has gone down the tubes, I hear upbeat stories about decent people helping out one another, and my faith is restored again in humanity.

Ca Ching! Yesterday's clothes shopping portion of the way was a big hit! 2 sundresses at under $10 each, woo hoo! Originally close to $40 each. I also scored big on some clothes for my dh and my older ds at a going out of business sale, sad to see a store go but I would have been crazy not to get the things I know they'd like, everything I got them is going away for Christmas. I hate shopping after Columbus day the stores are just too congested for me!
