We have a garage lake too. We live on heavy clay soil nothing penetrates. We have to have concrete too. Our clay is expansive...so it cracks every three years. Then we have to replace. I think someone on our Home Association owns a concrete plant.
or owns stock of said factory ;)

reminds me of certain individuals who defend Disney with sword and cape.
until they finally accept they do because they own a lot of stock XD

I so agree. I love Disney. I'm not a stock holder, I just understand, that every one wants to do what they can, to make it through retirement or beyond. I wish I was more into the "market", my dad always said it was gambling. I couldn't go against my dad. However, wrong he was.

Hasn't anyone heard of lightening rods in your neck of the woods. They do work wonders, especially in areas that are more prone to heavy thunderstorms. You'll see them on every building in WDW. I don't know of any damage to any building there over the years and they are right in the open in the middle of a swamp.
Tower of Terror being the possible exception. I heard that lightening knocked the whole front of that thing. ;)

Actually, I think it was back when I was a teenager, I did ask my father if we should get lightning rods for the house, and he said it wasn't necessary (we lived in surburbia with quite a few single-family houses on the street). At that time, he mentioned that you'd be more likely to find lightning rods out in the country areas on houses that weren't built so close together, like farmhouses out in big open areas.

So, back to last year for a moment, I'm not sure if MA just had a bout of really bad thunder/lightning storms over the course of a few months, and more houses were struck as a result of that. While we're on the topic of houses and lightning, I read that the newer lightning rods are often very discreet, even a foot or less in size on a roof--nothing like the old days.

That's my attitude when shoe shopping. If they don't have what you're looking for they will order a pair for you and ship it to your house, with free shipping! When my dh asks why I got an etra pair or 2 I just say I saved a whole lot of money, sale and free shipping!:D

This is funny, and I just had deja vu regarding a somewhat similar situation. This goes back years, and I'll never forget the (light-hearted) argument my parents had over my mother's glee at shopping a sale. Mom: "Everything was marked down and I saved all this money!" Dad: "But you spent money, so how did you save money if you spent money? That's just not logical." And so on . . . an endless circular argument between the two of them, about each one's specific definition of "saving" money! :hilarious: P.S.: I take after my mom!!! :D

Every time tofu is mentioned I think about that episode of Everybody Loves Raymond.

I tried tofu once. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted. A couple years ago a very nice Chinese couple from church invited me to there house for dinner. They made several authentic Chinese dishes. Everything was very good except the tofu. It was really hard to eat all of it on my plate and act like I liked it. Somehow I managed to do it but I'm never trying tofu again.

Heh, heh . . . I actually like tofu. One of the reasons is that it takes on the flavor of whatever is put with it. For example, you can have a very tasty tofu cheesecake, or you can have a flavorful teriyaki tofu & vegetables stir fry, and so on. It's actually bland just by itself. Oh, fried tofu isn't bad either. But I completely understand that tofu is not for everyone! :p

I like everyone's photos here, whether clear or green! :p They're all fun, and all tell a story. (I think Cesar was just trying to be helpful about your phone's camera, that's all. That's his field of work, so it's probably second nature to him to share his expertise with others.) :)

I too like everyone's photos especially from WDW on this thread especially when they are snapping them on the fly. I am guilty of encouraging everyone on the thread to posting WDW trip photos while they are down there and drool over all sorts of food pictures despite the quality.

If as you say CRM was also critical of my photos taken with my phone I missed those critical posts. :p I was speaking to our friend currently down in WDW and hope she gets back to posting photos again. I am enjoying them. :inlove: Me, photography isn't my talent and have readily admitted I use a phone and rarely carry my good camera with me to WDW. I tour the parks light.

Good to know someone understood what I was trying to say, I felt like gabe was chastising me and frowning about my comment.

Not wrong. I was nudging you into trying to appreciate SeaHawks photos for what they were. Quick photo's to keep us in the loop and not the quality photos you take with your professional equipment. Not likely she is in a position to fix the camera while on vacation. Admittedly We all have those petty things that tend to bug us on the forums. Some are grammar police, others point out spelling errors and we seem to have multiple folks who cringe over others photos. We all have our quirks.

Later I have pretty flower photo's to post after a long, cold winter, it is finally pretty around here. I'm sure talented photographers will be able to find many flaws with my Spring Flowers 'cause they were once again taken with my iPhone. ;) Photographer I am not. :inlove:

My father invested in the market and did fairly well in the big picture. His MBA from Harvard Business School may have given him a slight edge . . . ;)
