Ok that’s odd since several customers near our table were and I actually liked the drink with the hot wieners. The meat sauce was delicious. We were visiting but the others that ordered the same as us spoke with really thick New England accents and knew the staff.
The only hot dog worth getting is:

Wow... That was the most unique graduation I ha e ever been to, and so much fun. They had picture montages of every graduating student with a blurb from the mentor about what they are known for, or what their hobbies are, or what they are doing next year. E's was about how many hobbies she has and that she's often seen with her crochet stuff making something in the breaks. And that she graduated C.um Laude. There were 2 others out of 60 kids, and they added it to their photo montages.

But they started off with the mentors saying how nervous they were, and what should they do to combat the nerves? Do what they learned from the students at the gala after party! Spin the wheel, (wheel of fortune style). Each bit had a different kind of alcohol and wherever it landed, that's what you do a shot of. So they were doing shots on the stage at graduation. (very different atmosphere from the US!)

There were also jokes made about students who were always late, students who got in trouble the most, students who partied a lot.... Stuff you definitely couldn't say at a graduation ceremony in the US.

I don't know how much any of you outside of Europe will understand the reference, but one of the teachers dressed up as Joost Klein. For anyone who doesn't know, he was the Dutch performer in the Eurovision song festival, and he was disqualified because he assaulted a camera woman. His song was absolutely ridiculous, but for some reason people really loved it and they couldn't get enough of it and he was expected to do well. So then he got disqualified and it was all just very embarrassing.IMG_20240708_210421.jpgIMG_20240708_213545.jpgIMG_20240708_222905.jpgIMG_20240708_202703.jpgIMG_20240708_200838.jpgIMG_20240708_203704.jpg

Thanks for asking…!!! :)
Not close enough to cause any problems here.
It was cloudy and windy this morning, but not a drop of rain.
Unfortunately, a good portion of our beloved Texas coast was getting pounded earlier, as you’ve probably seen. :(
Friends in Houston have lost power due to the storm along with most of the city. With the heat index it is over 100 degrees. Hopefully they can drive to Austin or Dallas to find a hotel room but with the power out the gas pumps stop working.

Tomorrow is going to be beautiful and sunny with perfect temps:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: I'll be reading out on my deck.
The rest of you may want to make sure your A/C is working
Nice day here tomorrow too, high of 81 predicted. Each day will be getting warmer with it getting into the 90's on Sunday. First 90's of the year. I'm going to have to clean my fans so I can keep cool on the porch.
