I disagree with some points. Aging is a fact of life so we need to face it. Taking care of my loved ones who brought me into this earth , disciplined me with tough love, provided me a good life while they worked hard to raise their boys I am forever thankful. Whatever condition my loved ones are in , my world is to take care of them regardless of situation. I seek out help so I am not alone in this. Being a caregiver is the toughest but most grateful job a son/daughter can do to take care of their aging parent , End of rant!
Never said I didn't accept it, I just think that there must be a better way to leave life then the process of aging. It is what it is, but I certainly can wish for something different. Caring for aging parents is certainly a commendable thing but it shouldn't be necessary. I know there is nothing that can be done about it, but wouldn't it be nice if we could find that grateful situation in some other way?

I discovered that thought years ago when I owned my nursing home. It happened one morning when I received a call at home that one of my residents had passed. I got there quickly and there she was. One of the nicest older people I had ever met. She had a life of hardships and challenges and through it all had maintained a positive and upbeat attitude. There she was laying on the floor dead, with her clothing half off as one would when using the bathroom and it made me angry. A human being that had done the best they could throughout a fairly long life and now in death, all dignity is gone. It happens, but for the life of me I do not understand why it has to end like this or illness or just slowing declining into total dependency on others. It may be rewarding for caregivers and I'm sure it is, but let's consider the care needer and how much pain and frustration they must be dealing with for that to happen. I just cannot understand why any of it is necessary. I'm not trying to say that there is any humanly way it can be different, I'm just bewildered about why there isn't a better way, but we have no control over that!

Went to the fridge to get a water, and decided to grab a Sunny D instead.
Never realized it was so healthy.
Just last week, my doc told me I wasn’t getting enough hexametaphosphate. 🤪
I’m assuming the “D” stands for Death…???!!!!! 🤔 :cyclops:

Yesterday I posted about my embarrassment as a Kentucky basketball fan about our search for a new coach, and how fellow fans act about anyone that's mentioned as a candidate. I still feel that way, but UK hired Mark Pope last night, and although he's getting mixed reviews because of his relative inexperience in major conference basketball, I think he'll end up being a great hire. He's always been a class act, won the 1996 championship as a UK player, is clean as a whistle, which is important given UK's history with some scandals, and being only 51, he could be around for a long time if he's successful. I may be the only one in Kentucky saying it right now, but I'm extremely happy with the hire. Go Cats!

I do not accept the aging process. I will mentally be remaining 12. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation.

I never watch basketball, so can't comment on the recent developments you've shared. However, I am glad that you're happier since last night, when you heard that a new hire was announced.

If Mark Pope flames out with losing seasons, one new coach Jon Scheyer of Duke will be a coach to look beyond Duke. A former player for Coach K with no head coaching experience took Duke to the Elite 8 only to lose to a surprise NC State. If Jon keeps winning at Duke, other schools that flash more cash may make him leave for greener pastures.

To me the only likeness is that they use ride vehicles that the outside of it resemble a car. The Cars ride is scenery, animatronic scenes and no darkness. Absolutely and completely a way different experience. I like(d) the original Test Track but can easily bypass the entire building and ride now. It has no real story or at least none that draws me in. Now it's just that... a ride with a fast loop outside. Hell, I've driven 60 mph in the parking lot at Epcot. No big deal.
