Sad news my son's golden retriever not quit 8 years old has be diagnosed with lymphoma. Elleemae is the sweetest dog - my son and his wife live 2 blocks over so I spend a lot of time with her she loves to ride in my truck and we spend hours sitting on our front porch looking at birds and squirrels and people walking by. My heart is aching I will miss her so much --Here I am a 6'3 215lb guy and every time I think of her gone tears well up. I've had Goldens my whole adult life --cancer sucks in people and dogs-- I want a puppy so bad- wife says we're too old I keep telling her I'm only 74 Sorry for the rant just feeling really low

It's always tough to lose a furry friend. Maybe if your wife won't let you get a puppy perhaps an older dog would fit the void for you.
