Marty Krofft, Colorful Producer of ‘H.R. Pufnstuf,’ ‘Land of the Lost,’ Dies at 86
Marty Krofft, who with his brother Sid produced memorable kids shows 'H.R. Pufnstuf' and 'Land of the Lost,' has died. He was 86.

I used to love the (original) 1974 series, Land of the Lost. It was in the Saturday morning lineup of TV shows. Marty and his brother, Sid, Krofft created some campy shows over the years. (By the way, until I just read this, I didn't recall that the brothers also created the Donny and Marie Show.)![]()

I used to own a 8 - Trac tape player / record turntable . I enjoyed listening to my favorite song of Led Zeppilin , Stairway to Heaven from the 4th album. I couldn't exactly rewind the 8 Trac tape to listening to it immediately again.
Cassettes is one sign that I'm not a spring chicken. I remembered my mom 's 1983 van had a cassette player in it and I recalled cassettes getting played in that van.
Cassettes were my thing in the 1970s and 80s. I was too cheap to buy a new cassette so I borrowed my friend's cassette of Led Zeppilin or Rolling Stones and copied the music on a blank cassette on my good ol dual cassette deck back in the day. I did not really buy much music since I could copy it for free minus buying a bunch of blank cassettes .Cassettes is one sign that I'm not a spring chicken. I had pack of blank cassettes back in the 90s. I got them as a Christmas gift from grandparents.Cassettes were my thing in the 1970s and 80s. The proper etiquette for when parental unit(s) come for a holiday meal is to send them home with at least 4 days worth of food/an hour's worth for the boysAll the leftovers are at someone else's house, so I don't really know.
Did they eat the gravy on something at least? I like gravy but eating just gravy is kind of gross.edit: I went to freeze the gravy as I made rather large batches, 2 very sheepish "we ate it", Same for the piece of pumpkin pie I was finally going to get toThe apple crumb is long gone
