Mr Ferret 75

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.
By 10am I had gone to the farm market, ShopRite, Walmart, put the groceries away (ok I made the boys do that part, I did check they did it correctly), had a relaxing cup of excellent coffee, started the 2nd load of laundry, gone through the mail and rolled my eyes at James when he asked me to make him something extra
If you fed him properly the first time, he wouldn't ask ...

At 10 am I was still asleep.

Found out the company my dad used to cook for, now has their 2023 cookie book out:

This cookie book is different that the previous cookie books in terms of having a recipe for homemade dog treats and Honey wheat dog bones.

This cookie book does not have any recipes for making food for cats.

That makes sense. Cats are carnivores. Dogs are omnivores. So dogs can have things like peanut butter, veggies, and such, so it makes sense that there are dog safe cookie recipes.

Every now and then, giving cats homemade food is fine. But generally, you should give them store bought stuff. There is a mineral called taurine that cats need in order to survive. It gets added to their store-bought food.

We let my cat Ella have a little bit of lunch meat when she wants it. We used to let my cat Belle have a little bit of whipped cream because she was obsessed with it (my vet okayed this). But other than that, all of my cats have been strictly on store bought stuff.
