Already a heat index of 108 and it's going to get worse. We checked the theater in DS, but they aren't playing HM until the evening and we don't want to spend the money to watch barbie in a theater. We're in the room now cooling down before heading to MK.

Know what? I went to see Haunted Mansion today and it wasn't half bad. I'm taking into account it was 1pm, Thursday and Barbie is playing in 4 out of 24 theaters in the complex, almost simultaneously but there were only 5 people including myself watching it this afternoon. And @JenniferS there was an ocean scene but the boat only had a already dead (Ghost) person on it However, the ghost did look a lot like Capt. Smith from Titanic fame.

It was ok. Way too much frosting on the cake. But it was good cake.

The grocery store had a display of veggies from a farm out in western MA. I bought 4 green peppers (to help support local business).

But then I wondered what the heck I was going to do with them?!

Voila! You and Figgy gave me an idea for stuffed peppers. Haven't made them for quite a while (I cook up some burger, and then mix in white rice (from 1 "Boil in Bag"), and some Italian seasoning). Then I put about half a small bag of grated cheese on top of each pepper, and pour a jar of Ragu in the pan.

I had left over pizza from Papa Murphy's. The catch is I only ate the topping. What happened the bottom of the crust was black. The sauce section of the pizza was not burnt. The toppings I had were not burnt either.

I had sausage, peperoni, and mushroom as toppings.

I have a close friend in Texas, so I have his particular city as a preset on my weather app. I’ve been sending him daily condolences too. His kids started back to school yesterday.

Yea, it’s another toasty Texas summer. But, we have yet to reach our static air temp record of 112 degrees, set in both 2000 and 2011.
Also, in 2011 we had a record setting total of 90 days at or above 100 degrees.
With 34 consecutive days of 100+ degree heat this year, so far, we shattered the previous 22-day record.
A quick Google search garnered me no info on how many total days at or above 100 degrees we’ve had so far this year, but, many years, we haven’t had the last one ‘til about mid September, or even later.
We have so much carp in our garage that our cars are always parked on the driveway. If ya’ hafta’ go somewhere in late afternoon on the weekend (TSSFFBR ), ya’ gotta’ wait at least 30 seconds after ya’ open your car door before gettin’ in…the heatwaves are very visible in these temps…!!!!!

I dunno... I mean, I guess I wasn't really vocal about it, but I thought I mentioned it a few times. We're in our 2nd week at Disney.

I will admit that there are an awful lot of Easter eggs in that film. Kinda made Pirates look like they didn't even try. Next time you see it, take a counter and just add up how many of them you see.

I think Ben and Travis characters were superb, the rest were also good. One thing though as I recall Gabby was the lady that bought the house, but I cannot find a reference or name for the person that played Ben's wife Both in the movie and the name of the actress.

Never cared much for Owen Wilson for anything, but he did OK. I don't understand why they had to make the Professor, (Danny DeVito) seem bat crap crazy. Wildly eccentric I could understand, but it was either over-acted or a personality that would have been just as affective toned down a little bit. I don't think it added to the story to have him wearing a see through rain jacket and hat either. Maybe I'm just missing some interpretation or meaning.

I'm sorry but I didn't know that there could ever be enough frosting on any cake. I find that cakes themselves avoidable, but there can never be enough frosting. If it were up to me every "cake" would be 100% frosting. It might be said that the only purpose of the cake is to have something to hold up the frosting. Rant over, proceed with the regular program.

Thankfully I remembered her name, and was able to Google that specifically, as you are correct in that she’s not listed on most sites (IMDB, Wikipedia, etc.).
