I have the movie club thingy at my movie theater, so I get 20% off. It helps with the prices, though usually I get hot food or drinks or popcorn. I sneak in candy if I want it.Never buy food from the movies and my brother wanted popcorn because the movie was during lunch and a little part of me died at the prices.
Last time I went to the movies I go in with the same focus like before entering a supermarket. I eat a big meal then this helps me to not go down the road of impulse buying snacks, etc.Never buy food from the movies and my brother wanted popcorn because the movie was during lunch and a little part of me died at the prices.
Not exactly. If coffee is offered to me free, I'll drink anything. But if I'm paying, I'm really picky about what I order. I'm sure it's the same for many tea drinkers, as they may also have specific types of tea they enjoy, and the way it's prepared.Well, it is water strained through dirt so how one can differentiate swill from any type of coffee is a total miracle. The phrase "Good Coffee" is in itself an oxymoron.
I drink mostly iced tea and I am also quite picky about my choices of tea. To me it must come in a bag! I do draw the line at flavored teas. If I want raspberry flavor or lemon flavor I will order raspberries or lemonade. Not exactly. If coffee is offered to me free, I'll drink anything. I refuse to buy name brand since store brand tastes the same and is cheaper.Typically, I don't buy food at the theater.
20% helps a little. Not sure prices are over there but a small popcorn is 8.60 with tax here. So with 20% - still overpriced. They did renovate the theater during Covid to add plushy seats and a new food court area and bar.
When I worked there, they had tables to sit but not anymore. And I remember making funnel cakes and doughboys but I don't think they had those.
Speaking of food, my favorite cereal is now $5 - was $3.50 a couple years ago and it's not going on sale like before.
I don't know how good the free coffee at the motel is . I'm not a coffee drinker.I've yet to find free hotel coffee that wasn't one step short of swill
That only works if you don't have certain allergiesI refuse to buy name brand since store brand tastes the same and is cheaper.
Honey Nut Cheerios is $4 per box , store brand is $1.79 per box. I loaded up and bought a supply of store brand.
I waited till today. On Thursday, Asparagus was pre-ordered at Schartner's Farm Market to get them asparagus today to get them before leaving Door County. Schartner's grows them fresh. I also got fresh strawberries from there today also.

There's a major difference in the quality of tomatoes even among name brands, hence me filling an entire SUV when Tuttorosso tomatoes go on sale. When doing inventory the guys know to count by the caseNot all brand names tastes the same, generic mayonnaise is not as good as Hellmanns. And I think Kraft brand Mac and cheese doesn’t taste as good as generic Mac and cheese.
Our theater is amazing. We have a full kitchen, so you can get burgers, quesadillas, and such, and it's better quality than typical movie theater stuff. If my brother and I are going, we usually share a popcorn, so with the discount, it's not so bad, and then we get giant sodas. Then we have the luxury recliners in every theater, have for years. I refuse to go anyplace else. It's just such a beautiful movie theater. I didn't realize how much I was spoiled by it until I went to another one and was like, "what is this?"Typically, I don't buy food at the theater.
