I really don't understand why someone would want to dive down to the Titanic in a sub for $250,000! First of all, experts say the Titanic might disappear by 2030. Second of all, 2 miles down into the dark deep ocean. Humans have an odd fascination with tourism and memorials. I understand people want to remember but if we create memorials and cemeteries for everything, there will be no space left for the living.

1. Titanic. The only way survivors are coming from this tourism sub is from a miracle.

2. 9/11.....and yes, there's really no way to avoid this being in the middle of the city.

3. USS Arizona...I'm only knocking the fact that it's still leaking oil

3. Various memorials to local stuff. A statue is fine but anything bigger is crazy. Take my local Station Nightclub Fire memorial. They made it into a small non tree park that is more memorial than park so it's really not used by anyone. At least if you plant trees, it's better.
I realized when I was on Finding Nemo submarines at DL that I have a very real fear of submarines. You couldn't pay me to get on one other than the ones at DL that aren't real. Nope, nope, nope.

Bought mine yesterday. I got Oreo fudge, Sherbet fudge, Very Cherry fudge, Mint Chocolate Swirl fudge, Tiramisu fudge, Milk Chocolate Fudge (got that flavor of fudge for free), peanut butter fudge, and one more flavor I forgot what I got.

I might get more tomorrow due to not going to Barrel Room yet on the trip. Barrel Room is one of the shops that is located in the downtown part of the village that I am staying in.
I remembered the other one being root beer fudge. As far as me freezing all my fudge, I have a good reason. Blood work is coming up in the future, and I'll be taking a piece out a time once I'm done with blood work

I found this hard to believe, but someone posted today that Miami has only broken 100° once in 1942.

Yea, I’m sure the 108 is pretty accurate, but, the 128 “like”, not so sure, and thus the crazy emoji…!!!!! :hilarious: Our record static high here in Austin is 112 degrees, in both 2000 and 2011, and 2011 also had our record 90 days of at 100 degrees or above…!!! 🤪:hilarious:;)

Me either!! Do not like enclosed, dark, and tight places at all!
I realized this when Mission Space broke down one time and B was calmer about it than I was.

I can handle it if I know things are proceeding according to plan or if I can get out. For instance, flying doesn't bother me. I know it's safe, I know that there's a plan, and I know they'll let us out. It's so routine for me at this point.

Or like playing hide and seek growing up...I was in control. I could get out.

Mission Space I'm normally fine about...until it broke down. Then when I couldn't get out and it was dark, and it was only me and B on it...yeah, I freaked. I don't like riding it by myself either. If I'm locked in there, I want other people, even strangers, in there.

But submarines...yeah, nope. I already don't like boats that much, unless it's a ride at Disney (hence the reason a cruise doesn't appeal. Being on a very large boat for days on end? Ah, no thank you). A boat that's basically a locked closet. Lol, nope.

Apparently..

As more information leaks out related to the sub, the more insanely insecure that thing was found to be.
They had multiple failures, it had no backups of anything.
It did get lost multiple times.
It had no tracking or beacon to locate it if it got lost.

The moronic CEO even confirmed many issues in a prior interview.
To resume, that sub thing was almost a brewing pot for Darwin Awards.

Of the lost, totally unique early attractions, I probably miss that one the most. Yea, I know fish on a string and all that lame stuff, it still was different and fun. Just this Fathers Day I was talking about WDW with my daughters and one of my son in laws mentioned how much he hated the subs as a kid and I thought my girls were going to kill him (figure of speech). That was actually the first time I really knew what it meant and they both realized that they didn't actually submerge, as soon as it left the lagoon and went into the show building it seemed real to them. Of course, they were only 6 and 8 at the time. My wife didn't even realize it until we were riding in the Skyway that she finally got to see it from above.
