Hi all -- we're back from a few days up in the White Mountains, NH. Had a blast!

Weather was awesome -- nice and cold the past few days, and this morning (early, around 5 AM), it was down to about 28, with a gusting wind chill. Ahhhh . . . glorious cold weather!! 🥰 (Each day it warmed up midday to around 40 -- depending upon elevation and location.)

Got in a few hikes (nothing too difficult). Started out with boot microspikes, but eventually removed them -- as we could manage with trekking poles (I had a double pole set with spikes), for the occasional icy/snowpacked sections. The only thing I refused to do was cross any of the open (no bridges) streams, (dangerous) due to the ripping water from all the high altitude snow melt, sliding down the mountainsides into the streams.

Few pix attached (trying to thumbnail size of photos here -- having some issues. (In theory ;) , if you click on each one, it will expand to a larger viewing size.) The last photo is hubs all bundled up like a mummy, :p because he said it was cold. 🤦‍♀️ But he took one for the team (me! :hilarious: ), and warmed up a bit once we got past the easy parts of the trail (you'll see him before a bridge over one of the larger streams, low altitude.) :joyfull:
