Bursting in here with a request for @Tony the Tigger and any other South Floridians.

On account of our middle niece/godchild graduating from FAU the first week of May, my hubby and I will be celebrating our 37th anniversary in SoFla. Flying into West Palm, staying at the Renaissance in Boca. Will have rental car, and not afraid to use it. Seeking suggestions for a restaurant for our anniversary dinner, from “nice” to “quite nice” without breaking the bank. We’re ok with $300 or so for a meal for the two of us (including wine)— we live in NYC, after all. 😄
I don't think you need to go far if you're already in Boca! Lots of nice restaurants there.

My sister comes down frequently and stays in Boca for work. We just met her and my Aunt up there a couple of times for dinner. Once was a nice (but kind of smushed together seating) Italian place, the other I think was just Yard House but still decent. Her first response was Kapow. She said she loves it and then you can walk around Mizner park - basically outdoor nice shops and stuff. She said Rinos just opened up (does that name have a meaning? LOL) and is higher end/pricey. (If she says it's pricey, it's pricey, Miss Lives-In-A-Mansion-In-Jersey.)

About now, the moving van had finally loaded up and left Milton headed for my new home in North Carolina. I vacuumed out my place, that the new buyers had graciously allowed me to stay in for a few day until the van got there, left the keys on the counter and hit the road with every single open place in my car filled.

Although it was the 15th of April, 2011, it was still quite chilly and had been spitting snow all day. I went as far as Albany and got a room. I was exhausted as I headed out but put the applicable song on my car player (on repeat) for the first half hour listening to the Beatles, "I'll Follow the Sun". I stopped one more time in Fredericksburg, Va. and arrived the next noon in Cary, NC. There was a little excitement on my arrival when I found out that a Tornado had passed through the day before not more than 3 miles from my new Apartment.

That means that on Monday, April 17th I will have lived here for 12 years. That same year there was an earthquake in the D.C. area that we felt here in NC and the following year Hurricane Sandy came barreling through. Relatives felt with such a welcome I probably should head back to Vermont. It's been fairly quiet since then. Here and there a hurricane and a number of Tornado watches, but nothing serious.

On the plus side I have been able to experience a mild version of winter and still managed to be able to play golf every single month of the year. (Actually I could have been happy without the mild version of winter, but you have to take the bad with the good sometimes.)

FYI - A few of the trains have a disability car at the end where guests ride upright, like Big Thunder Mtn. This ensures that guests with medical or size issues may still be able to ride. Simply mention to the Cast Member at the load zone you’d like “The Rover” and you’ll be directed to the proper place to wait.

Today is the last summer type day in Southeastern Wisconsin in a couple weeks. It was the 80s today. For the next 2 weeks, it may not even reach 60 degrees as a high for a single day.

Tonight is going to be 58 degrees at midnight, but it is really going to dip down. It is not going to be even 50 degrees by 2 in the afternoon tomorrow. It looks rain will be changing to snow around 8 or 9 tomorrow night.

I’m pretty sure there’s a Rino on every other block in the Bronx. Not sure I’m in the same league as that, but I’ll check it out, appreciate the suggestion. I’m a big Yard House fan. But maybe not for anniversary.

Thanks, and if you’re free for a drink the evening of May 2, let me know.
