I didn't bother to set one this year. My friend's 2nd book came out a couple of days ago. I actually beta read this one for her, so that's exciting.

I usually set one to see how far I go in a year. Last year my accounting classes were harder and I didn't have as much time to read, though because of the amount I have to read for school, I tend to do more audiobooks. I also read two mammoth books last year (Bees and one other)

Bursting in here with a request for @Tony the Tigger and any other South Floridians.

On account of our middle niece/godchild graduating from FAU the first week of May, my hubby and I will be celebrating our 37th anniversary in SoFla. Flying into West Palm, staying at the Renaissance in Boca. Will have rental car, and not afraid to use it. Seeking suggestions for a restaurant for our anniversary dinner, from “nice” to “quite nice” without breaking the bank. We’re ok with $300 or so for a meal for the two of us (including wine)— we live in NYC, after all.

I realized we were out of hard cider and we didn't have my favorite wine, so I went to the liquor store.

Spent most of the night in a food coma…
Yes, we couldn’t take it anymore so made the 50-mile round trip up to Georgetown for some Catfish Parlour.
If y’all recall, the one near us, that we frequented for decades, run by the dad, closed last year because he simply wanted to retire.
But, I’m happy to report that the one up in Georgetown, run by the son, is every bit as good…!!!!!!!
Fried catfish, fried shrimp, fried oysters, they’re awesome hush puppies, and French fries, beer beans, and savory coleslaw.
The only things we forgot to get were the sauces…red sauce for the shrimp and oysters, and regular and jalapeño tartar sauces for the catfish and hush puppies…!!!!!
