Oh wow...I didn't know you needed a visa to visit the US from Mexico. I thought you could just cross the border. Learn something new every day!

Nobody can cross the USA without a VISA or permit lol.
I think very very few countries can enter with only the passport (which is technically stamped with a permit).
But most do need the VISA.
Unless you're a citizen of course

It thinks I'm under 18...you know, at this point, I'm happy when people guess that I'm younger than I am, but not THAT young.

Same result here. I haven't been under 18 years old in decades.
