The library told me I could download Prince Harry's book. They told me 6 months originally but 2 months is not bad.
I haven't been to our regular library since before the pandemic. I have a card with Baltimore County, Harford county, and Enoch Pratt (down in the city). I use all three for their online resources. Baltimore County has their own separate Overdrive/Libby library, and Enoch Pratt and Harford County use the Maryland state one. Which is nice because you just have to live in the state of Maryland to use their libraries, so I can use the others even though I don't live in those jurisdictions, and sometimes the wait-list will be shorter at one library for a book than another, or sometimes Baltimore County won't have a title I'm looking for (annoying) and I can just get it from the other library. Plus Overdrive/Libby works with Kindle. Audiobooks have been my thing lately.

It's so annoying. I have a small list I want to read but the some of the books are not in the library system. Well, most of them are by foreign authors so maybe that's why.

Off early today…ran out of work…!!!!! :hilarious:
There is actually plenty of work, but, contracts haven’t been finalized. One partner has eight design projects in queue. Happens from time to time.
The project I started on this morning was put on hold because the client needs to pay a surveyor to do a slope map. The site is located high above Lake Austin, and about the back 1/4 falls off a cliff. Of course, the clients want the house as far back on the site as possible for the views.
Unfortunately, with Lake Austin zoning, the percentages of allowable impervious coverage diminish as the slope percentages increase.
0-15% slope = no more than 35% imp. cov., 15-25% slope = no more than 10% imp. cov., 25-35% = no more than 5% imp. cov., and nothing is allowed to be built in an area with a slope percentage exceeding 35%.
Other two kickers to this project, there’s an existing house on the site, as far back as they want theirs, that’s definitely not adhering to updated LA imp. cov. restrictions, and the clients want a second floor above the main level, which is not allowed due to sight lines from other lots on the street. You can only go down to a walk-out basement-type situation, which is where the dude actually wanted a basement garage/man cave for his growing car collection (already has a ‘70 GMC pickup, and ‘69 Dodge Charger)…fun stuff, huh…?!!!!! :hilarious:
