That's cool, but I still think there's a peninsula I'd rather go to.Wisconsin has one of the biggest gaming trade shows of the whole United States in the Midwest Gaming Classic. When I am referring to gaming is video games, arcade games, computer games, table top gaming, collectable card gaming, and pinball.
In Wisconsin, they have a tourism spot called Door County. Door County is a peninsula and has islands.
Door County has at least 9 wineries, 2 distilleries, at least 1 hard cider company company, The Distilleries door county has do make moonshine including cherry moonshine. The Door County section of Wisconsin is known for their cherries. The cherries are used for many products in Door County including wine. They do have the Door County Coffee and Tea Company that is known for their Gourmet flavored Coffees.
Door County has a restaurant that is known to have this on the roof during summer months:
Yeah, Dad is a bit older that you (2.5 years according to your profile; he just turned 63) and Mom is younger; she just turned 57.
The funny thing is, I think not seeing Star Wars is a point of pride with my dad now. But that man LOVES Star Wars merchandise, particularly anything with Darth Vader or Stormtroopers. He wants to put a Lifesize Stormtrooper in the palladium window looking out over the front yard. I was like...no, because that's where my one and only plant, a tree that I rescued from a previous job, is, and that's the only place it can go because it's so tall. So then, we saw this past trip a giant picture of Darth Vader. He wants to put it over the dining room. Mom said no because she doesn't need to come down the stairs in the dark and see Darth Vader on her wall. I think he also has one of those Darth Vader wooden figures from GE at his desk at work, along with a Darth Vader tie. That man...
That’s a vodka & cranberry.
It’s not a Cape Codder until you add the lime.
Add OJ and peach schnapps and it is called Sex on the Beach? There’s still another name we had for it back in the 80’s that I can neither find nor remember. I’m pretty sure it was a one word name…I told y’all the early 80’s were a bit of a blur…!!!!!
WI does have good brats and kringle. They have some nice, uh....trees? And cheese, I'm a big fan of cheese
I was glad you said this about Wisconsin, because I love a particular kind of cheese that comes from there. It's called Colby. It's not commonly stocked at my grocery store out here; so when they get some in, I usually buy a few packages to keep on hand.Excellent cheese!
There are a number of high end cheese makers in Vermont, but the one that most people have heard of is Cabot.I was glad you said this about Wisconsin, because I love a particular kind of cheese that comes from there. Also, I love Vermont cheeses, but there's something about Colby, that it needs to come directly from Wisconsin!!!
One item that comes to mind of cold wintry Vermont - Ben and Jerrys ice creamThere are a number of high end cheese makers in Vermont, but the one that most people have heard of is Cabot.

I was there when Ben used to go to conventions and sometimes just have a cart and would wander around randomly in downtown Burlington, handing out samples. That was when they were located in their original remodeled gas station. Well before they both were multi-millionaires.One item that comes to mind of cold wintry Vermont - Ben and Jerrys ice cream
Cabot is a consortium of a number of Vermont dairy farmers. There are a number of high end cheese makers in Vermont, but the one that most people have heard of is Cabot.
Years ago, I also went on their factory tour, and we got ice cream "fresh" off the line!!!I was there when Ben used to go to conventions and sometimes just have a cart and would wander around randomly in downtown Burlington, handing out samples. I'd almost bet Wegmans has it They usually have quite an extensive cheese selectionI was glad you said this about Wisconsin, because I love a particular kind of cheese that comes from there. Possibly, you're right. Yet the 2 Wegmans in my (distant) area, are both a PITA to get to. One has massive traffic leading to and from it. The other one has a parking garage attached that you have to use -- seriously? Nope, no thanks to a big garage, just to get groceries. Hence, I avoid Wegmans here.I'd almost bet Wegmans has it They usually have quite an extensive cheese selection
