I wonder what will be the replacement. Harmonious has huge hardware and I can't imagine those tacos and stargate ring will be trashed.
Disney Food Blog says the tacos are going bye bye and it will replaced temporarily by Epcot Forever.

Sorry, I see that that was already answered. I was so excited when I read the news on DFB this morning. I texted E and told her the tacos would be gone by our trip! So happy. Now if they would open up the restaurants at GF, and get rid of park reservations, or at least make the park hopping ability earlier in the day, I'd be a super happy camper.

Eeeh, a bit weird. Usually Disney recycles everything. They could use the tacos for a stage show I guess?

Curazao

In Curazao we got probably the most hilarious tour operator for many reasons.
One, his spanish was kind of basic and he used a lot of catchphrases.

We went to meet him by the starbucks after walking for a bit on the port.
Curazao's port is quite big.

What was in the menu:

  1. The Town, a short visit and talked about how the island is divided into the protected natural area and the industrial zone.
  2. Punt Pistola, where we saw a famous entrance of the sea where the rock had a formation of a funnel that made the sea water impacts sound like a pistol shot. It was in one of the national parks.
  3. Then we went to see the turtles at Playa Grandi.
  4. We went to see Williwood and a local church.
  5. A local fort and the gorgeous inner bay of Curazaos's port.
  6. The touristic zone (beautiful) of Curazao's downtown.
  7. The stores.

The area of the Punt Pistola was protected and requires a fee, also quite a bit of driving.
Also explained that you can (with a lot of difficulty, because how hot it gets) to get up to Mount Christopherson.

Also the tale that whoever puts rocks together, their love would last forever.

Check the Punt Pistola noises in the video here:

After this, we went to see the turtles as we were unable to see them in Bonaire.
My mother had the idea of swimming with them but we were told it was not the season so there might be very few turtles. And yup, There were only 3 large turtles and some smaller ones in the area.

It was still nice to see them.

Note that if you get to this area, they warn you to ignore the man in the docks. Who seems to claim HE is the one attracting the turtles FOR YOU, makes lots of noise and can get very forceful in demanding tips from tourists.

Good thing he did not even noticed us lol.

We did a PIT STOP in a local restaurant, with no costs because the "REY" (king, the only one as he kept insisting, aka our tour operator) was friends with everyone.

Saw also some birds, I was lucky to catch this guy as they usually got INTO the forest instead of flying away.

The next stop was very funny.. Because our tour operator asked if we knew Hollywood and I said no?
Well that we now had the amazing opportunity to know WILLIWOOD.
Aka some artists decided to put that logo there where the salt mines swamp was, now it was full of flamingos (another good spot to shot at them with camera).

There was a lookover that allowed you to have a vantage point and see the birds with ease.

Fun story, there was this guy in the tower (a man in his 50's 60's) who seemed like to be an hobbyist like me in terms of photography.
He had a decent camera but his lens was.. holy .. one of these 3000$ USD cameras.
I commended his lens and he told me If I wanted to test.
I declined and thanked him. 1) I did not want to be liable for any problems 2) Salt and Dirt can get inside the lens and the sensor of the camera.

Continued in Part 15.

After that, we went to see the Queen Juliana bridge, that allowed connection between the two sides of the port while being so tall it allowed very tall cargo ships to go inside the bay.

The fort sadly was hardly a fort now.
IT was transformed into a restaurant and they pretty much blocked or changed all the historical parts and made it fit into a restaurant.
Including adding tarp and blocking areas.

We did not stay much.

Then we went down the highway to see that smaller bridge from the above photo. Where the touristic part of the town was. (aka the stores and restaurants)

DSC_5729_DxO.jpg
The tour operator explained how the place is, and how it is divided into sections (financial, gambling, food, stores, etc..)
And how its by law that they have colorful and well maintained painted fronts.

And how most buildings are protected, aka you cannot change or demolish the front.

DSC_5738_DxO.jpg

The bridge was amazing, as it can open and close ( like it was a giant screen wiper) DSC_5747_DxO.jpg

Now the hilarity. MY Tennis from Nike (black) were already a bit damaged, but during this trip they finally fell apart.
The sole of BOTH, started to peel away and I had to walk careful not to end completely sole-less.

We will managed to purchase a few things and take a picture in the famous CURAZAO letters.

After this we went back to the ship for lunch!

@donaldtoo this looks like something the girls will enjoy https://www.wdwmagic.com/wdwmagic-p...designed-for-families-with-young-children.htm
UNI builds quickly so it should be done while they're still in the right age group

Thanks, Figgy…!!! :)
I saw that earlier today. Looks cool, and I’m glad it’s coming to Texas…!!! :)
Being just north of Dallas, it’ll be only about a 4-hour drive away…nice for a weekend trip…!!! :)
Although, Frisco is a bit of an unexpected choice, to me anyway. They have many more much colder days up there in the winter than central or south-central Texas.
Haven’t checked what the temps were up there recently, but, we were sunny and 84 yesterday and sunny and 77 today…!!!!! 🌞

Call it Fish Tacos with Nemo & Dory.
The problem with the whole thing was not that it wasn't a spectacular night show because it was. The problem and only big mistake was making it so that it had to stay permanently anchored in what was once a very pleasant and relaxing lagoon. I think it was only one of the barges that couldn't be easily removed for the day time. Probably one of the dumbest moves they have ever made. The decisions were made by people that are not theme park people. They don't have a clue what the average guest wants to see. The structure were made completely for the night time audience and it was good for that, but in the day it represented what is wrong with the world today. I shows the replacement of nature with grotesque steel structures that fit like a television placed on the head of an antelope. As a daytime water works display it was ugly and someone needed to go someplace like Rome to see what fountains need to look like to be appreciated.
