Our power went out over an hour ago. Its 56 and clear outside. Mom and Pop, and MIL live less than a mile away from us in the same neighborhood, and have power. Looks like it’s just our street and a few others. As I’ve posted before, our power never flickered even once during our big winter storm almost 2 years ago, now. Weird.

As usual, kids and dogs steal the show!I love the festive, striped outfits on Emy and Audrey.
As for the pups, all are cute. (I've seen 3-legged dogs like Gunner before, and they manage to adjust to their disability. The resiliency of dogs never ceases to amaze me. Also, your son appears to be enjoying the dogs, as well. Their proximity to him, indicates that they're also relaxed around him, too. (By the way, Sarah's Ruby is a beauty, too -- cute, monogramed scarf!)
I always like the food pictures, even the snacks!
The alternating lights on the tree next to your dad, is fun. I don't think I've ever seen that combination before.

Yep, I’ve seen 3-legged dogs many times over the years, as well. I also remember seeing dogs with no hind legs, where wheels were rigged up to take their place, and they were motorin’ all over the place…!!!
They are indeed resilient…!Matthew enjoys pups very much, and seems to have a special connection with them, in some way…!!!
And yes, Ruby is a cutie, too…!
I never leave out the snack/food pics…!!!!!
The alternating lights are new on the tree since gettin’ back in the house after the fire, and they are fun…creates a little bit of a dynamic “Christmassy” ambiance…!!!

Never had a ham setup, but, I do remember the CB radio in our truck/camper bein’ pretty fun in the 70’s on our summer road trips to and from Texas when we lived in No Cal…!!!

Could feed from different substations. Our DD’s is like that. She will have power but the relatives down the road will be off.

Was 53, dark and rainy all day - going down to…59 tonight. Yep, going up overnight. High 60’s tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Goin’ down to 28 degrees tonight.
Fortunately, we’ll have highs in the 70’s again from Wednesday-Monday…!!!
Summer can’t get here fast enough…!!!!!

We made some revisions to the NYE menu. Nachos are out, buffalo wings and sausage cheese meatballs are in. Both sausage and chicken wings were on sale plus digital coupon this morning. I only got enough wings for NYE but I may have cornered the sausage market. Apologies for causing the national shortage

I thought about making sausage and peppers but peppers are a bit pricy this week(my frozen ones were packed for full meals) and meat balls are less messyWe don’t have coats in Florida - we stack hoodies!

My goal is to contain the food to the platters they're served on and have everybody use paper plates(the fancy coated ones) so there's less cleanup. I have no clue how they do it but my slobs don't make a mess with buffalo wings
not a drop of sauce spilled or dripped on anything Mess is the other reason nachos are off the menuThat said I'll probably pick up some peppers for the veggie tray
