Anyone else see the Disney Christmas special yesterday (10 AM EST, on ABC). I DVR'd it, and watched it last night. I thought it was going to focus mostly on the parade (from Disneyland), but the show seemed to lean more on guest singers, etc. (some performing from the WDW stage, and some from Disneyland). I was hoping for much more coverage of the actual parade. Oh well.

I watched it last night too. The last few years they have been focusing more on the singers which is too bad but I guess still fun to see. Yesterday when Brad was at church I put on. 1988 version of the parade show and it was fun to see what used to be.

Started it but got bored. Didn’t want singers, wanted parade.

I rather enjoyed years ago when they showed the parade more. The singers are ok but too many of them.

Then, it's unanimous -- MORE parade footage, LESS singers!!! :banghead: I love the old parade videos, and I thought the show on Christmas was going to be mostly parade-focused. Disappointing. :(

A combination of pics from yesterday, first from my MIL’s place, then my folks.
The Pups are Flash, Gunner, and Daisy (white, black and brown, respectively - BIL and his wife’s rescues). Gunner is missing an entire rear leg, but, it doesn’t seem to affect him much.
The Pup at my folks is Sarah’s Ruby.
We had fajitas at MIL’s, so by the time we got to my folks, all I could take down was a little bit of cold cuts, cheese and olives.
My folks Christmas Tree alternates between white and colored lights, and the last pic is just of the moon and a few stars over our driveway when we got home last night…!!! :)

As usual, kids and dogs steal the show! :joyfull: I love the festive, striped outfits on Emy and Audrey. :) As for the pups, all are cute. (I've seen 3-legged dogs like Gunner before, and they manage to adjust to their disability. The resiliency of dogs never ceases to amaze me. Also, your son appears to be enjoying the dogs, as well. Their proximity to him, indicates that they're also relaxed around him, too. (By the way, Sarah's Ruby is a beauty, too -- cute, monogramed scarf!)

I always like the food pictures, even the snacks! :hungry:

The alternating lights on the tree next to your dad, is fun. I don't think I've ever seen that combination before.

I got a fun toy for Christmas. It's a compact, Grundig shortwave radio. (I've had an old Radio Shack one for years, and it's much larger, but it wasn't very powerful.) I like that the one I got for a gift is much smaller, and probably brings in more signals.) :)

Cool, Minnie…!!! :)
I have a buddy that had a ham radio setup at his house way back when, and he really enjoyed it…!!! :)

Ran across it while channel surfing. Watched about 2 mins. of singing (don’t remember who), and moved on.

Police Reports? Back in the day of CB's my parents had a home base unit and spent hours listening to all the transmissions. I had one in my van and used it for amusement mostly, however, it did come in handy for smokey reports. Waze has taken over that task. I used to love the thing. I did talk on it occasionally but I mostly just listened to the conversations. Listening to it in the south was a laugh a minute. Those folks had the sharpest sense of humor and it was like a contest to see who could say the most clever thing. Sadly, up north I had to shut it off if the kids were in the vehicle with me. All they seemed to want to do is "cuss on this here radio". Special attaboy or attagirl goes out to whomever knows where that quote came from.
