Do you know the name of those flowers, just what I need. With our winter's and all (mainly my neglect due to allergies)...sorry flowers.

I will look for their official name this weekend. I call them Wild Tulips. They are so hardy, they are one of the first things to come up, they multiple like bunny's and they are one of the last things to die off. They are good in pots or as ground cover or under trees. Thrive everywhere.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I hope so. I love to cook, I hate the clean-up. :D
I do my own own dishes. And laundry. And make my own bed. (I don't even let anyone help me make my bed, as no one does it as well as I do.)

I let the cleaning lady do the carppy jobs - floors, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, kitchen clean-up, washing greasy prints off of walls, and anything to do with the three little pigs' rooms. :hilarious:

"We" really need to fix our passenger rail system. The idea of Amtrak having to yield to all freight trains really messes with schedules that the engineers are pressed to keep on schedule. Over the 7 years my kids took Amtrak I could count on one hand the times the train was less than a couple hours late on a 3 hour ride. Multiple times pulled over while freighters wanted through and stopped to off load cars. It is frustrating to the passengers too. I'm not condoning the actions but I do understand the pressure to keep to the schedule. This keeps happening and yet "we" as a nation do not fix the rail system. Priorities Legislators.
maybe they want to kill the passenger train industry?
that's exactly what they did in Mexico, a company purchased it from the government.. and then gave priority to cargo.. then removed the passenger all together.

Pet peeve of my Moms too. I fixed that with my kids, we had L benches like these in the kitchen. No rock'n. I opted early on not to have a dining room table in my dining room/living room combo. I had a grand piano and a computer desk for the desktop. I could keep an eye on the kids on the computer back then or listen to my DD practice the piano. Now desk and piano are goners and my dining room is a dining room.

Downside was when they went in years ago my two golden retrievers took up residency. They'd often jockey for the window bench.

and suddenly.. kitty!!! :D

Not at all. I also liked Perry Mason, for the same reason, I was in bed when Mom and Dad watched, somehow he just lulled me to sleep, with his pleasant voice.:)

Every once in a while I'd watch Perry with my Mom when I was small. What I took away from our conversations during the show was how to figure out who done it. Still holds true for lots of shows today aside from the ones that have detour endings that no viewer could relate to in the story line.

Everytime they go to fix or expand a system something goes whackadoodle. I really liked the idea of the rail system for Central Florida too, last I heard they pretty well squashed that too.

Conversation with my mom:

Mom: Remember, I'm working tomorrow, so I won't see you until the afternoon.
Me: Okay, I'll make sure to clean up from the party before you get home.
Mom: Yeah, if you plan any parties for when I'm not home, at least wait until exams are over.:hilarious::rolleyes:

She only knows to say that because she knows I hate parties. I refused a graduation one and didn't go to prom, so...

Yeah. I feel that way with my DD.

My DS well that was another story. We always overnighted when we brought my DD back down to school. By the time we got all the stuff out of the storage locker, hit Target and Grocery Store, I was too tired to drive home. I knew there would be a Gazebo Party when we were gone. Unfortunately one year it coincided with the first day of elementary school starting the next morning. The neighbor kitty-corner property behind us, famous for their all night blow out parties a few times a year called the Sheriff. DS did not share that tidbit but a neighbors son who was here Mom did. When I asked him how it went over with the Sheriff, he said all he asked was if everyone was 21+ and to take it indoors.

Me preemptively locked my bedroom door before I left along with my DDs room. By that point they were likely very tired and likely passed out on the huge sectional in my family room.

Oh my goodness! Now THAT was a find!! :inlove: I can't even imagine how much nicer the parks would look in that older book, without all the kiosks, etc. cluttering up the views; I'll bet there's a few benches to sit on in those photos, too?!! ;)

Also, just the term, "coffee table book" is something I haven't heard for quite some time. I recall my mother used to always have a coffee table book displayed nicely, in the livingroom. We had a few of them with different subjects, and she'd rotate them from time to time. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I associate coffee table books with a less hectic, non-connected (i.e. electronic devices, etc.) time in my life. Nice memories . . .

I have a collection of vintage coffee table books. I love them. This one I've wanted for so long but couldn't find. DD found it. Throughout the book is Disney landscaped at its best, even Fantasyland with huge planters with very mature trees. Epcot before they chainsawed the trees for Illuminations or put up spikes on the walls around the lake walls.

In fairness they get it right sometimes these days, the Dwarf coaster queue has an abundance of trees where BoG queue has none, a big ooops. They tried with the Tangled Potties but for some reason those trees are hanging on for dear life. I wonder about the soil after all that construction, something gives there.

The book is amazing with all the pretty flowers and trees that once were. The book is in NEW condition, still in its box with its jacket on, without a smudge. The book is over 20 years old so I am so happy to have finally have it.
