@donaldtoo , with regard to Galveston, I now can't get Glen Campbell's song out of my head!! ;)

Yep, that song is a classic, and it went through my mind many times while we were down there. Even though I was only about 6+ at the time, I still remember when it came out in ‘69, as my Mom and Pop only listened to country music stations, even in No Cal, at the time…still love that song…!!! :)

Fan of Glen Campbell as well. I believe he was always considered a country singer, yet his songs (up here) were always played on the top 40 hits stations. So for me, I never gave a second thought to what style of music he was associated with -- all I knew was I loved his voice and songs. May he RIP.

May he RIP, indeed.
Yep, a lot of his music was definitely crossover, and he was one heckuva’ good guitar player, too…!!! :)

For any car enthusiasts -- the Barrett-Jackson event is going on in Las Vegas at the convention center, from June 30-July 2.

Last night, I watched some of this (on the FYI channel, DirecTV). Although I know very little about the amazing cars they auction, it was fascinating to see the specific details of these cars (some very rare models -- all in mint condition). I like the various nuances -- such as a Mustang Cobra -- from 1980s I think. That car might have been some sort of special edition, but what made it extra cool was that it had two signatures on (the engine or some other part) from the workers or engineers? that put the car together, back in the day.

The other part of the show that's fun is listening to the auctioneer rapid fire off the price bids, from some (wealthy) people in the audience. He spoke so fast in some sort of wild auctioneer language, that I didn't have a clue what he was saying! :hilarious:

Haven’t been watchin’ ‘em recently (probably ‘cause I can’t afford any of it, so what’s the point…?! 🤷‍♂️;)), but, it’s really cool that I know most of what is featured. If only I had the Jack…

That sucks. What happened to Roz…?!?!?!
Disney just continues to blow.
Having the memory of the Peoplemover from the early 80's, I'm afraid that I have to disagree with that. This new one is a whole lot like the original in tone and coverage. Roz never got into the picture until after Monsters, Inc so that was much later. I consider it to be one of a very few things that they have done to improve the attraction.

Agree to disagree.
