This is the story of Mr. Toad.

Mr. Toad invited himself into my house this evening, and then he perched himself high upon a door due to a kitten who thought this was her new toy.

The kitten then meowed at her mommy when her mommy came downstairs. Which was the first time her mommy noticed Mr. Road's prescence.

Since Mr. Toad was out of reach of her mommy, her mommy attempted to get Mr. Toad to hop down into a box. Instead, Mr. Toad hopped off his door, where the kitten proceeded to chase him under a couch.

The kitten's mommy then moved the couch, but Mr. Toad could not be found. The kitten, however, spotted Mr. Toad a few minutes later, and chased him around the room while her mommy attempted to get both of them to stop.

Finally, the mommy yanked the kitten away from Mr. Toad, got Mr. Toad into the box, and escorted Mr. Toad back outside, where there are plenty of nice mosquitoes to have for dinner.

Since then, the kitten has been searching for her new, "toy", and not being able to find it, instead has gone to bother her big sister. Her mommy lives in fear that there might be a Mrs. Toad somewhere in the house.

This is Mr. Toad.

I’ll take our trip digits, thank you very much…!!!!! :D:hilarious:
I am not a bit surprised. I don't think Door County is made for you and maybe not @Figgy1 from a weather standpoint although 80 degree days in July and August might be fine for her. 100 degree days are even more rare than the ones in Southeastern Wisconsin are. Door County averages 0 100 degree days a year.

Door County is a peninsula and that does play a factor in the temps. Most of Door County is surrounded by water. One side of Door County has the water of Green Bay and the other side has Lake Michigan.

The best way to put the weather is is like the small village I stay in Door County for 3 days in June. I stay in Fish Creek at motel and across the street is the bay. A spring jacket on a good day in June is not needed in Fish Creek in for afternoon, but I would recommend wearing it around 7 at night if want to go certain sections downtown Fish Creek. Parts of downtown Fish Creek have shops and eating places just 1 or 2 blocks away from the harbor/bay and you can feel the wind picking up from the bay about 7 at night based on all my years in Fish Creek. A prime example of this is I were a spring jacket when there used to be a Frozen Custard shop close to the dock/pier less than a block away and I eat there for dessert around 6:30 to 7:00. p.m. To this day, Fish Creek has dessert places 1 or 2 blocks away from the pier including a Seasonal Gelato store.

Fish Creek on weekdays have non food stores close at 5 or 6, but eating places and bar close later.

I first recalled going to Fish creek when I 5 or 6 and visited mom's uncle's summer home there.

Was one of them a chubby German kid by any chance?
It would be answered if we see these start singing:
latest

I know this part is from a Veruca being a bad egg, but they do sing when the German kid falls in chocolate.

I could never take y’all’s winters up that way.
Even when we lived in Northern California (San Jose) from ‘68-‘76, most folks put on a sweater or light jacket in the evening outside in the middle of summer.
You’ll be sweatin’ bullets if you do that here in the evening outside in the middle of summer…!!!!! 🤪:hilarious:

Most people know of the Boston Massacre and Tea Party (all that lovely tea in the the ocean ) but everyone doesn't know of ...

There are days of events with tomorrow being a parade and a road race. I ran in the race in the year before the pandemic took it over and tomorrow they burn a small replica of a ship in the bay.
