I can say that with the summers you have in Texas.
I had problems keeping fluids in 100 degree days at times growing up despite drinking a lot of fluids. 100 degree days are not my type of fun even though I handle heat better now than I did growing up. Wisconsin usually does not get a lot of 100 degrees in a year and that is something I am happy with.
My dad does not like Florida or your type of a Summer in Texas. He does not like humidity at all despite he used to work outside due to the nature of the job he had.
I understand that many people find anything over about 90 degrees very hot.
We’ve been back in Texas for 45+ years now, so we’re pretty acclimated. My DWifey was raised in colder climates, and never wants to live in one again. Her Pop was in the Air Force with SAC. She was born in Minot, North Dakota, and also lived in Wyoming, Montana, and Germany.
Here in Central Texas it gets hotter than Central Florida, but, it’s more humid in Central Florida, so it’s kinda’ a wash.
Houston, on the other hand, gets hot as heck, and also has the humidity, as it’s down near the Texas Gulf Coast…place is like a sauna in the summer…!!!!!
In ‘11 we had 90 100 degree or above days, for a record.
Also (I googled it), our average first 100 degree day occurs on June 29th, so we’re
waaayyyyyyy ahead of that this year…lookin’ like it’s gonna’ be a hot summer of ‘22…!!!!!!!
