I'll bet hardly anyone under the age of 35 even knows anything about it. For most of my youth, every June 6th we were reminded of the date and D-Day. This is the first place that I have seen it mentioned today. I didn't pay to much attention to that until I looked at the date on my watch and immediately thought June 6, 1944. Four years before even I was born.

I think a lot of people in this sort of location are still very clued up on these sort of things. Local(ish) history.

I was reminded of the anniversary this morning, when I first checked the headlines of the day.

To some I know Dec 7th 1941 is a day that they know. June 6, not so much. When in HI, I visited the Pearl Harbor memorial 21 years ago. It was a surreal experience visiting the museum with artifacts, seeing a short movie then taking a small motorboat to the memorial directly above the sunken ship still oozing with oil. The staff at the memorial told us two rules, no talking and take your hats off. The admission was free.

I know one of my high teachers had a dad that was part of the D-day battle. The teacher told the entire class that.

I can't give an exact year anymore, but it was in the 90s.

My younger brother has ordered from Limited Run Games in the past and I'm giving some information about how the company handles ordering. Limited Run Games is a publisher and distributor that now has started a brick and mortar store in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Limited Run Games has a online store and where people pre-order games from.

Limited Run games only does pre-orders and usually when the game is sold out, they don't get it back in stock at all. A lot of their games is stuff that you only can get physical copies from them and that means their games are capable of going much higher on Ebay.

Most of their recent games are limited by amount of weeks you can pre-order. I said recent games because when Limited Run games started out, they had a low amount of copies for each game they release. When Limited Run Games announces their first day of a pre-order for game, you still could up 1 month to pre-order the games.

As far as shipping goes, that is usually not known when people pre-order a game from Limited Run games.
