Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
An fyi. I was in Florida for my sons beach wedding in St Pete. A massive resort. By the time we left and headed up to Disney for 5 days my foot was trashed again. Been since 2018 with an issue. Note apparently Sand put a strain on stability. Who knew?

First time in a WDW Cart I always rent from an outside vendor. WDW carts are horrid. Stay out of their path, not maintained well. Also a major shortage of carts. Good luck if you park hop and getting a cart at next park.

I’d be surprised in future if they continue to rent on site.

@FutureCEO -- I just checked the network TV schedule for tonight, and on ABC, they're showing the "Party at the Palace" -- the big music show with Elton John and a bunch of other artists. (I might DVR it.) :)

I wanted to watch it at 230 when it was on in London but couldn't.... YouTube was blocking it. But they had Camilla and Prince Charles trying to be fun and it was hilarious

Now I have a weird desire to go on Chocolate World or as I call it the Small World of Pa.
The restaurant is actually right at the front of HersheyPark, not in Chocolate World. They built it as part of the expansion when they built their new rollercoaster and they tore up the front of the park. They put in a better drainage system so they don't have the same problems with flooding that they've had in the past (I wanna say 2018 they had to shut down for almost two weeks due to flooding...and then 2019 it was bye bye old entrance). The entrance is in a different spot and they moved the carousel.

Well, a lot of folks had a lot of flooding today, stuck cars, etc.

Not us! Our street remained clear, main roads remained clear. The rain was rarely hard, but it was steady for at least 24 hours. We got over 9 inches in Broward. It was gone by noonish, and we opened both stores at 1PM (instead of our usual 11AM.)

Brian still has a few weeks of school left, but started a job last week. It's not nursing (obviously) but related - kind of a strange position I'd never heard of. This woman owns a business where she checks up on patients at the request of their family members. The patients are typically in assisted living facilities, and the family members are typically out of town/state. It ends up being a lot of repeat patients.

In one case, she and Brian accompanied a woman from the assisted living facility to the hospital after she fell out of bed and broke her hip (among other injuries.) Before the hospital could act, the woman had approval from the patient's grandson for her care, and basically advocated on behalf of the patient at the hospital, making sure she was well taken care of. I had no idea this kind of job existed. The pay is decent. I don't know how long he would stay with it after he becomes an RN, but who knows?

The cruise is booked for early September. I've been reading the whole unofficial guide book. Thinking about staying onboard during the stop at Nassau. The Bahamas notoriously hates gay people, and apparently there's a lot of crime against tourists. It's a relatively short cruise - so I'm thinking maybe we take advantage of the empty ship while others disembark, much like we take advantage of the attractions at WDW while others watch the fireworks and parades LOL.
