Very early select mornings pre covid there was a surfing school option at Typhoon Lagoon. Pay one price to surf the waves, instructors present and can teach you, that are bigger waves are specifically generated to the surfer crowd. Never tried it but looked like fun. Approx 100 waves to ride, $165 per person 3-4 hours. What's nice is the surfing school is limited to no more than 30 guests. Perhaps need to wake up at 4-5am, catch the Disney bus to make it there by 6am. In Honolulu when I was there, surfers were already surfing when many were still asleep.
I read somewhere that that has come back or will be coming back. TL just reopened last month

That was the unique thing about king cake. When the cake is split in pieces, one person may be chewing a piece of cake with the plastic baby inside, then as he/she removing the plastic baby out of their mouth we all know who found the prize!
See....this logic escapes me. How is nearly choking to death on a plastic baby considered a prize? Congratulations! You get an unpleasant, possibly dangerous experience! Yay you!

I don't think the buses start going that early...you'd probably need to arrange other transportation, like uber or lift or a taxi if you don't have your own car. I think the buses start around an hour or so before park opening, and those lessons are pre-opening from what I understand.

There are a lot of things that go on in decadent New Orleans especially during Madri Gras that are not for the faint of heart and that's putting it lightly. King cake with friends was special, then more drinking, eating, parade enjoyment, what people will do for the beads! With bars open pretty much 24 hrs a day during Mardi Gras, some peoples logic goes out the window .

As you might have guessed, to me, the most unpleasant part of the errand would be the coffee. There has never been a cup of coffee worth more then a dime! And that would be only if one has been deprived of any liquids for three or more days and that was all that was available.
Considering basic coffee was maybe 5 cents a cup when you were younger 10 cents must have gotten you some fancy coffee back then
