You forgot ME!!!!
No I didn't! You're not a weirdo, just home sickYou forgot ME!!!!
Isn't that the case most of the time you go? Fingers crossed for a soft opening while you're thereMy computer is telling me it's 67. The weather app is also telling me 5 - 8 inches of snow mixed with sleet, freezing rain, rain and every other weather related event on Friday.
BTW....totally mad at Disney for having Guardians Coaster come out a couple weeks after I'm there.
The temperature here has already started to drop and the so called forecasters are still saying either we're going to get a major ice storm or a foot of snow, hence the Japanese groundhog belly stew tonightMy computer is telling me it's 67. I love mid-late August. The new stuff is generally open and the weather is perfectYes. Because I have a people aversion and everyone thinks early May would be better. Though we did go a week or so before Turkey Day once which honestly wasn't too bad. Of course, that was 11 years ago.
If Disney stays crowded how YouTube is showing, it doesn't look like a good time

There is more the those 2 who like snow.
That has been a complain for decades in terms of NASCAR.
I know NASCAR had a chance for their next gen car that raced today at Daytona to change that, but they didn't. What I do know is NASCAR was focused in slowing the cars down and improve the racing, but that is something NASCAR attempted for years with rule changes, but made it worse outside of Daytona and Talladega in the past.

Stock car racing on TV is a bore and always has been. Being there in person is so different. Local NASCAR was always fun to watch and I'll tell you why. Those cars generated a thunderously loud noise that sent vibrations through the ground and air and into you body. Not only were you watching it, you were feeling it as well. One of are local tracks was named Thunder Road and that sums it up pretty well. I used to go to every local weekly race up until I was about 24 and after that they started closing down the tracks and I just lost interest.
Yah, that's what I was referring to earlier, when I mentioned that the drivers pick up the pace and strategies toward the end of the race. They pull out the high stakes, gutsy moves, and either they work, or they wreck. I was on the edge of my seat.!
Congratulations to the 23-year-old rookie, Austin Cindric (Team Penske), in the #2 Ford Mustang, for his Daytona 500 win in overtime. Very impressed with his talent in holding off a formidable driver, Bubba Wallace, who placed second.
What a great birthday present for 85-year-old owner, Roger Penske!!!
And oh yah, the prize money for first place: $ 2,064,397 (plus various endorsements, etc.). Not a bad paycheck for driving around circles.
That's the one I have.
I've not had it on my antenna for a couple of years though...there are some branches hanging over the driveway that keep snagging it. Hubby needs to cut them down, but he's being a pill about it.
That's probably true, though I don't envy their weather this week!! They were at -16F with a feels like of -46. No thanks...I'll take the snow, but they can keep THAT kind of cold FAR away from me. I'm not even sure @MinnieM123 would like THAT kind of cold.No I didn't! You're not a weirdo, just home sick
