Good luck to you as well!!!!!!!Good luck! It's super wet and windy here...but not cold, so there's that. Snow showers tomorrow, though...blah.
We've only had snow one time so far, and it didn't last long and didn't stick! We are under a storm advisory today, though no snow expected. It's really windy and they aren't running trains and are advising people to stay off the roads, too. Yesterday I kept A home because it was so windy I was afraid he'd be blown off his bike. There were some downed trees and roof tiles ripped up by the wind. Today it's supposed to be worse, so my husband is working from home, I called in to work that I'm not coming because it's supposed to be at its worst this evening. Yesterday, there was a policeman who was hit by a roofing panel that flew off of a building and he had to be hospitalized, there was a woman who had to be freed from her car by firemen after a tree fell on it, and there was a car blown off the road and into a ditch...and today is supposed to be worse. Yeah.....not going out in that! E's school closed at lunch time so the kids could all get home before 2 when it's supposed to kick it up, and one of my colleagues got an email last night that her son's school was just closed today. He goes to a special education school where a lot of the kids are brought by taxi or public transportation, and most of the taxi companies are not driving after 2pm today, so they just closed the whole school. A goes to a special education school, too, and he's the only local kid in his class, but they get out at 12:30 on Fridays anyway, so the kids would already be home by two, and since my husband was working from home anyway, he took A in the car so he didn't have to bike in the wind, and E wasn't feeling well so she stayed home today anyway. No way was I letting them bike through it. They are expecting gusts up to 140km per hour. If it's strong enough to knock a tree over, or blow a car off the road into a ditch, then it will easily throw a kid off a bike. And since their route to school is on a main/busy street, I don't want them blown off the bike and in front of a car.
I would guess it is an ancient Japanese theme.Although it's not plaid in design, I think with the multiple creases in the fabric, it's actually a kilt that Mickey is wearing. Very stylish!
So are Donald, Goofy, and the others in the background. My guess, in looking at Minnie's and Daisy's clothing, is that it has to do with the style of clothing wherever they are. Minnie's looks rather Asian inspired to me? Maybe the men wear robe-like clothing? Why is Mickey wearin’ a skirt…?!?!?!
Say it with me now…
“Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”…!!!!!

Thanks! We'll be fine....we're just hunkering down here and have no plans to go out. A's chess was canceled for today, too, which is a bummer because it was the last time before the vacation, and one of the teachers is moving, so it was his last night. But better safe than sorry.Good luck!

They're called hakama pants (I think...hakama is definitely in the name, but I'm not sure if you're supposed to put/say "pants" afterwards.)So are Donald, Goofy, and the others in the background. No need to say pants. It would be like saying jeans pantsThey're called hakama pants (I think...hakama is definitely in the name, but I'm not sure if you're supposed to put/say "pants" afterwards.)
