Are you getting the empty shelves like the rest of us now?
I still am having trouble finding certain food items.
Thought I'd jump in on this discussion as well. Grocery store seemed a bit less stocked this week, than last week. That's not to say that last week everything was in stock -- it wasn't, but I kinda go with a plan B and C for a few meal plans -- whatever is there, that's what we eat for a few dinners a week! :joyfull:

Not sure if staff is still limited (due to some out with covid), or if the deliveries are coming in with short orders only. Basically, there were definitely more sections of (some) shelves that were empty today.

I never watched G.I. Joe, He-man, or any other “serious” cartoons (if there is such a thing :hilarious:), but, I did love, and still do love, the silly ones.
Also, that was pretty much a mere fraction of our daily lives. We were out in the front yard playin’ “base tag”, or out in the street playin’ “tennis baseball”, or ridin’ our bikes into the foothills, etc.
TV, back then, for us anyway, was just filler between our outdoor adventures…!!! :)

Yep for us too. We built tents out of sheets, made “mud” pies, rode bikes, etc. We lived outside in the summer. And of course had to help with the vegetable garden.
We watched tv Sat morning for the cartoons. Not too much at night but a few shows. I remember Lawrence Welk, Bonanza, Hee Haw, shows like that.

It's like we all grew up on the same street! :p If we weren't outdoors playing, we were playing indoors. My favorite indoors fun was making castles in the basement with my brothers (we'd arrange furniture, folding tables, blankets, pillows, etc. ). We all had a password, and no one could enter our section of the "castle" unless they gave the right password. It was intense. :hilarious:

Our local news isn't saying much in the way of totals or winds yet, only that all their computer models say there's going to be a storm (it hasn't developed yet).
Saw on Boston weather news, high tide ( 11 feet ) expected by Boston waterfront by the weekend . Any significant snow totals predicted this weekend adding to high tide could cause flooding.

We had an army fort built alongside a friends house down the street, back in No Cal, and we also had a password…!!!!! :hilarious: His name was Gary, and they were originally from Massachusetts, no joke.
We had an ammo dump, a commissary, an officers club, etc.,…!!!!! :hilarious:
And then, the day came when his folks made us tear it all down…!!!!! :eek:o_O:(:arghh::hilarious:
