My birth mom had a huge rabbit named "Skillet"...because she had an enormous cast iron frying pan on a low shelf under her butcher block and he loved sleeping in it.

Never saw any of those cats in just one color. The ones I've seen down through the years are usually a mixture of colors. Anyway, they are all gorgeous, large cats with pleasant dispositions. Can't believe how much they've jumped in price, though. Back when I was a kid, sometimes in the summer my family would go up to Maine for a few days of summer vacation. I remember a farmer had a box of those kittens, and he was just giving away to any family that wanted one. (Actually, that was not uncommon even where we lived -- people would give away cats or puppies back then.)
