How come I keep watching the Dune trailer over and over again? It is because it's magnificent and music is wonderful? I think so. I'm currently reading book one. I was on a 3 month waiting list for the book at the library.

Chai is good but to wake up in the morning for many = coffee.

My parents and DWifey’s parents were/are big coffee drinkers. DWifey and myself almost never drink coffee.
Our 3 kiddos are coffee drinkers. Skipped a generation, I guess.
Last cup I had was one Monday morning at the office about 6 mons. ago, and DWifey says she can’t even remember the last time she drank coffee.
So many at the firm are coffee drinkers. Younger, older, and in between. Although, one of the partners drinks nothing but Diet Coke all day long.
I pretty much drink only water and beer.

My father was constant coffee drinker. I have no idea how many cups he had a day but I don't remember seeing him without one. He was raised on percolated coffee strong enough to take paint off the wall. He drank it black (no cream, no sugar). When he was about fifty he almost died from a massive bleeding stomach ulcer. He was told not to drink coffee anymore, but he figured that if he put cream in it that might buffer the strain. I guess he was right because after that he didn't have ulcer problems again. My mother occasionally had some coffee, but not often. I never drank coffee except in social situations where everyone else was drinking coffee, but my sister did and has to have her morning coffee every day. Neither of my daughters nor their husbands ever drank coffee and at least for now, my grandkids don't either. However, they drink diet soft drinks like they all own stock in the companies. My wife on the other hand relied on coffee like my father did. The two of them would sit around and chat while consuming cup after cup.

I had to admit that I used to be a constant Pepsi drinker for years and years until I discovered unsweet Iced Tea. I consume about a gallon every three days. Most of the time since I use a lot of ice, the melted ice dilutes the tea and when the ice is gone I usually just add more ice. By the time I actually put more tea in the mug it is almost clear. I like Coffee Ice cream, but that is about it. I am thankful that even when my Pepsi or my Tea was not available it never bothered me. It was more a habit then an addiction. Same thing with smoking. I smoked for 40 years and was dreading quitting because I figured it was going to be difficult. It really wasn't and then I wished I had quit sooner. I did use the patch and the Dr. prescribed Wellbutrin, which is an anti depressant that has the ability to limit nicotine cravings as a helper, but that was it. The only time I occasionally get a craving is when I'm driving (habit thing again) but it passes quickly and I just hardly ever think about it anymore.
