Sympathy like. One more day off until next sunday. Ugh. I really need that vacation
x2 but cheer up at least you work at TargetSympathy like.
Speaking of idiots, I broke my own rule and got a little snippy with IT.Boss idiocy of the day.
First talking about how important is to set priorities, set goals, etc.. (about a client he hasn't talked a single time).
I explain that the client complaining nonstop about the communication tool (slack) and does not continue the conversations in a proper way. This is making it difficult to deliver the information to the client to approve.
Boss ends the conversation for "I'm not sure if I understand nor I care. Just get it done".
Sums his leadership. Oh, he's probably again "on the road" in the middle of Africa (where he has been for the past month).
A+ boss (thats sarcasm).
And I wonder if the boss was "Glad we saved money switching IT to an external firm!"Speaking of idiots, I broke my own rule and got a little snippy with IT.
I'm doing something new and had to get new privileges in one of our systems. We'll, there's two fields in the system that I should be able to edit and can't. IT had closed my ticket, but I reopened it last week and nicely said, "Hey, I know you guys are busy but if you could do this for me, I'd appreciate it."
It's been a week and they haven't touched it. Meanwhile, I have 20-30 contracts I have to approve per day, and I'm going to have to go back on all of them and fix these two fields because I don't have permission. I looked today and they still haven't touched it. So I sent them a more firm email telling them exactly how many of these I'm doing a day and that I need it fixed, like, now.
They also have another case of mine that's been sitting for an entire month, so pricing to customers has just been wrong for the entire month on a few items.
This is what happens when an entire team quits at once I suppose...
Good for you!! Sometimes you gotta fix things yourself cause some people can’t do their job!♀My DH has to do this all the time like he has nothing better to do.Speaking of idiots, I broke my own rule and got a little snippy with IT.

We're one of the rare birds where we switched our IT from being external to being internal. We only have external people trying to get the internal people trained. I'm sure that the three people who quit were pretty miserable, though. And I wonder if the boss was "Glad we saved money switching IT to an external firm!"
