Damn, You can't really get used to the surprise when someone close passes away.
One of my cousins just passed away. Her lungs finally gave up after 3 weeks in the critical area of the local high end hospital because of COVID.
She was also super healthy.. We're freaking shocked.
This virus really makes no sense.. I mean.. my mother's cousins well over 80 years old with tons of specific complications.. all were cured.. but a 45 year old that had an active healthy life all the time? WHAT THE HELL.
So sorry. ☹️ This disease is weird. My cousin-in-law just had it and barely had anything happen. Another friend is on dialysis because it permanently damaged his kidneys.

Next week is my birthday. I will be getting fried Chicken on my birthday. The place I will be getting fried chicken from is not KFC.

The place I will be getting chicken from has 3 locations, but is not a regional or national chain. The chicken place in question is not a sit down at all. The place has the option of delivering the meal, or the person picks up the food. I've had the local chicken place's chicken since I was a kid. This place menu has Chicken, pizza, seafood, appetizers, shakes, melts, ice cream sundaes, cookie, soda, and bottled water.

I will be having a bucket of 20 pieces of fried chicken with fries. I also will be getting onion rings, French fries, breaded mushrooms, and Mozzarella sticks. The amount of food is due to 4 people for the birthday meal and I want enough for 3 days:hungry:. It is not misprint with the fries. There will be

I think @Figgy1 would change the appetizers since the chicken place has breaded okra as one of the items listed for appetizers.

so sorry to hear of your loss. It is always tough to lose someone and it is hard when it comes as a surprise.
Yeah. Speaking of which.. this was a direct warning on my stubborn sister who refuses to get her vaccine. As she was in the same age bracket and has similar health issues as my cousin.

Also the worst part of dying of COVID is that they do not let you see the body.. its most likely sent to be cremated as fast as possible to prevent dangerous infection focuses.

I signed on here a few minutes ago and read about your cancelled flight, and now this--a second airport. Do I dare ask -- has a flight opened up yet for you? (Hoping you're in flight now.)

The original flight was at 545am Southwest. TF Green had nothing else for today and tomorrow without spending a boatload with American and Delta. Southwest had nothing til Monday.

Bradley in Hartford had a 345pm JetBlue but that was delayed til 7pm and so therefore we finally got here.

Isn't the airline responsible for getting you to your destination at no additional charge?

First of all, I'm glad you finally arrived!!!!!!!!!!!

Second of all, what a saga. I had been wondering if you were flying out of TF or Bradley, as they're both smaller airports. Pre-Covid, that wouldn't have been any issue. Really sorry to hear that you were put through the ringer on all this. Awful way to start a vacation, but I'm relieved to hear that you finally got there.

So now, forget about all that and ENJOY your Vacation!!! :) Mickey Bars and Dole Whips!!! :hungry:

My (guess only) is that they would rebook on their own airline, for no additional charge. If the delay was a few hours, I could see that, but if it was a longer delay (or meaning that there were no flights available that day), then they should book a passenger on an alternate airline. I think that's what they did in past, but God only knows what they'll do now.
