The like is for your mother being somewhat sane, somewhat because look who she married;) For your father:rolleyes::cautious::rolleyes::cautious::rolleyes::cautious::rolleyes::cautious::banghead:
He wasn't like this when they got married! Apparently people change between age 25 and 61. 😅 Although he did do some weird things in his youth, like he refused to wear shorts in the summer. He wore cordoroy. Now, he did outgrow that. He wears shorts and I have never seen him in cordoroy.

@Cesar R M Remind me again why you said never to buy HP printers?

I know mine is a piece of junk, but my dad needs a new printer and he keeps going back to HP. I keep trying to tell him they are pieces of junk but he doesn't believe me.
They cheat on the chips on their ink cartridges.
Thing that Canon just started to copy as well.

Aka they count "per print"nor per ML used. So you could have up to 20% of ink left and the HP chips will say "LOL NOPE. YOU SOL".

My parents are currently trying to annoy each other by each playing games on their respective iPads with the volume turned up to the max. Apparently, this is what you do after being married for 36 years.
My parents don't do that. My dad owns a smart phone, but my mom owns a flip phone. She does not want a smart phone at all and only uses it for calling. My dad is into playing Solitaire on smart phone.

I've got an Epson WF-3720. I love it, it does everything. It might even make breakfast for all I know. I never asked. Scans, copies, prints, both sides and faxes. Full color and sharp and clear print. Even has a jet self cleaner. Bought it via Amazon and was a real reasonable price. My last one was an HP. It lasted a lot of years but when it gave out it was quick and relatively painful. It crapped out just after the Pandemic became a factor. At that point the only way to get a printer was to rob someone that already had one.

I have either an Epson or Canon, but I haven't been able to use it in YEARS. It's one of those scanner/printer/copiers, BUT it has the ink cartridges that are all attached to each other, so you can't just change one, you have to change the whole thing, and the cartridges cost almost as much as the whole printer. AND, when the ink is low, it also won't scan. It tells you that you have to replace the ink cartridge before you can scan anything, even though scanning doesn't involve the use of ink. It was relatively new, but we printed my choir music on it or something, so it ran out of ink really quickly, and then it just wouldn't do anything, and my husband can print things out at work. So we never replaced the ink cartridge and it just sits there collecting dust, and any time I need something printed, I have to either take it to the grocery store and pay 10-50 cents per copy, or wait for a day or two for my husband to be in the office to print it there.

@donaldtoo -- if you can get a few minutes away from your architectural work this morning, at 9 AM (note: EASTERN time -- I think you're in Central time, and if so, that would be 8:00 AM for you), Blue Origin's rocket will take off from its base in Texas, for an 11-minute joy ride (4 passengers) into space! Enjoy!

I'll be watching it, for sure. Multiple TV stations will carry it "live". (P.S.: Loved Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic flight last week, by the way.) :)

I print stuff so often we couldn’t be without one.

I watched it also. Was it just me or did his fellow passengers seem bored? I totally would have been looking out the windows and had a grin plastered on my face the whole time.
