My hubby’s Dad lays his on the table in front of his charger and thinks they charge. He never puts them in until somebody tells him🤦🏻‍♀️
At least he didn't do what my dad's old boss did.

My dad's old boss wars hearing aids.

I was told my dad's old boss took them them out and placed them somewhere. That bossed ended up mistaken the hearing aids as a bug or as a fly and damaged the hearing hearing aids as a result:facepalm:.

Had some bad news yesterday my brother called and said my cousin was killed in a freak hot air ballon accident in VT. He was the same age as me and we grew up together. My cousin (Brian Boland) was considered one of the best hot air balloonist in the world he set world records and ballooned over the Alps and Andes. So sad -- he died doing what he loved --RIP cousin View attachment 572993

Brian was one of those people who are very creative, very artistic, and very eccentric he had his own museum on his VT farm of stuff he collected over the years. I can remember he showed up at the house in a VW van with a huge tire on the roof. Turns out it was a used space shuttle tire he got from Cape Canaveral. I remember asking him Brian what are you going to do with that his reply "it's for my museum" He had a remarkable life even at 72 taken too soon
Sorry about his death. It sounded like he was an interesting person.

Please accept my condolences. I saw this report on our local news here in New England. It sounded like he lived a very interesting and fulfilling life. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Our band teacher recently got hearing aids, and she said they have changed her life. They even have bluetooth so tv's and other electronics that have bluetooth can go directly to her hearing aid and she can adjust volume that way so others don't have to have the tv cranked for her. I wish they would have had those for my mom's peace of mind when she was alive, not for her use but for my dad's. He needed hearing aids but refused and would crank the volume of everything to her dismay, she would have loved to get him something to control the volume on things so she didn't have to hear it blast. Side note, a few months after my mom passed he finally agreed to get hearing aids.
That's the kind my husband has, though they don't always connect. He can also connect to his computer so that if he's watching Netflix, he doesn't have to wear headphones. Though I can still hear it a bit through the hearing aids, but can't with headphones. They really are great.

Wow....it sounds so scary! I'm so sorry for your loss! Did you ever go up with him? It sounds like a fluke accident.

You know, I tried to be attracted to Target, but as of yet, it hasn't happened. We have Targets on close to every street corner around here and I have seen the posts that condemn Walmart but talk like the Queen of England would make a trip across the pond just to shop in a Target.

The Walmart's around here are clean, organized and well stocked, I have two within two miles of me and a huge Target just a half mile away they always look look like a store getting ready to close up. I've honestly tried but can find nothing superior about Target over Walmart. (prices tend to be higher at Target) The employees at Walmart always ask if they can help you find anything only if you look even a little confused. Target's ignore you with the hopes that you will leave soon. I combine my retail and grocery shopping which is possible at all of them but Walmart has so many more choices of Groceries and Target looks more like an after thought with limited variety.

Perhaps, I am lucky and the area just is managed better, but I see no reason to use Target over Walmart.
Same by me actually. Walmart is about 2 miles away and Target is 4 or 5. Our Walmart is pretty clean, and it has the cheapest gas in town.

Have I mentioned this before?
I continue to be annoyed by people using the name "Karen" as an insult.
A "Karen" is now someone to look down on.
This is so unfair to all the nice Karens I've known over the years.
Why should everyone named Karen now feel awkward or unhappy with their name?
Here's the latest example that inspired this post...
I am friends with 2 people named Karen, and they are both nice people and actually are live and let live kind of people. Social media can be a terrible thing.

That is accurate of local Targets in my area. Very clean stores but store associates just go through the motions doing their duties except to acknowledge the existence of shoppers in the store.
