The Olympics are in two weeks apparently. The ones that were supposed to be last year. I wondering how much money they will lose? Billions? Watching games with no fans is never fun. Plus I wonder how many people around the world actually care?

My husband is excited for the Olympics, he loves watching them. I like the winter games better than the summer, but I like to watch a few events like swimming, diving, & some gymnastics. It will be strange to watch with no fans there but I'm glad for the athletes that they will be able to compete finally, the Olympics is a dream goal for many of them and they work so hard to get there so I'm sure it will mean a lot to them even if there aren't a lot of spectators there.

Olympics is good advertisement for McDonalds. In the athletes living areas there is a 24/7 all u can eat McDonalds just for them.

Is it a weather delay. We had some nasty thunderstorms go through. We were lucky compared to those on the coast who had monsoons with wind and thunder and as you know a storm anywhere on the coast screws up everything
We had the "monsoons" here yesterday afternoon at about 5pm. Thunder, lighting, very heavy rain that basically was falling in a straight line toward the east. Totally sideways rain with, of course, high winds. They told us that the Hurricane was past us, but this was far worse then anything we saw during Elsa.

If viewers at home who enjoy the swimming competitions and the diving tune in.... they'll still be fine. The network always zooms in on the athletes anyway.
The soccer/futbol games/matches will seem weird with no spectators.

Actually, I love the Olympics!! Winter is more to my preference, of course, but I also do like (many) of the summer sports, too. (I feel bad for the athletes with no fans in the stadiums, etc., though.)

Ever since I was a kid, watching the Olympics on TV was exciting and I felt energized watching the athletes, in various sports. And although I'd be rooting mostly for my own countrymen/women, etc., I'd often give props to other athletes that were amazing, from other countries , too.

I love watching swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, fencing, gymnastics, archery, equestrian, and martial arts.

It's uplifting to watch the events and see sportsmanship (with very few exceptions) from around the world. :)
