Yikes. This is why I won't use any type of gas grill. I only use the pre-lit charcoal only. That's about my speed. :hilarious:
The broken glass didn't come from it being a gas grill, it was because of the heat, which also is generated by charcoal. The problem actually was with the manufacturer that either didn't put glass in it that would resist the sudden temperature change caused by the rain drop or by putting a window in it to begin with.

Pre-lit charcoal??? Must be hell trying to keep the bag from catching on fire on your way home from the store. I preferred to wait until it was in the grill before I fire it up. Maybe it's just me! ;)😎🥵

I must have had the same grill glass front --rained the whole thing shattered. Never could understand why the gals was there it got covered with soot and grease could never clean the glass
Yup, useless and turned out to be quite expensive. I guess I just assumed that since people primarily use grills outside that the glass wouldn't be affected by a few rain drops. Man was I wrong and the peanut butter sandwich substitute was not satisfying.

It stopped raining and some not cheap ones are being shot off and I'm hiding under the bed
The joy of living in a senior community is that fireworks are not a big thing. First of all, most of the residents have hearing loss so they don't even notice. Then if you ask people what they have planned for the day the conversation goes like this.

Other Resident: Do you have any plans for the 4th?

Me: Yup, the same thing I do every Sunday. Watch TV and continue the long process of turning into a vegetable.

Other Resident: Me too! 4th of July? Didn't we just have one of those last year?

Me: Yes, but very few felt like celebrating last year so it went hardly noticed.

Other Resident: Is the city planning any fireworks this year?

Me: I don't have a clue and even if I did it is of no interest to me. If you will excuse me, I have to go to my apartment now and watch my nails grow.

The one area where homeowners in their million dollar plus homes could watch WDW fireworks from their backyard every single night would be the Golden Oak residents which is right next to Port Orleans. Any early to be to bed sleepers would not have much luck .

What kind of messages? Does is say things like, "Next time, don't spill your dinner all over your shirt, if you don't want the wash cycle to last two hours!" Something like that, perhaps? :p
I know it sends a message when the clothes need to go to the dryer and a message when a cleaning cycle needs to be run. I haven't gotten through the manual yet as it is rather hefty.
