The broken glass didn't come from it being a gas grill, it was because of the heat, which also is generated by charcoal. The problem actually was with the manufacturer that either didn't put glass in it that would resist the sudden temperature change caused by the rain drop or by putting a window in it to begin with.Yikes. This is why I won't use any type of gas grill. I only use the pre-lit charcoal only. That's about my speed.
Pre-lit charcoal??? Must be hell trying to keep the bag from catching on fire on your way home from the store. I preferred to wait until it was in the grill before I fire it up. Maybe it's just me!
