For all you doughnut lovers out there.

"A recent study conducted by BestPlaces.net determined that the Providence-Warwick metro area in Rhode Island had the most doughnut shops per capita of anywhere in the country, followed by metro areas in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New York. In fact, only one major region from outside the Northeast cracked the study’s “Top Ten Donut Cities” list: the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area, which came in at No. 9."

YES!!!! We're number one in something!!!. Actually, we still have the state with the longest name even after dropping Providence Plantations from the state's name. Yesterday on the radio, I heard we have the rudest people beating Massachusetts. (does not make sense)

The state's airport might have the longest name too soon. For a real airport. Though I'm guessing. Rhode Island TF Green International Airport

Thanks for the update. I lived ( a short time ) and visited RI back in the day and I didn't know about the doughnuts item. I just remember people drank like a fish and there were hole in the wall places that sold hot dogs with the works ( weiners ). And what RI folks called sub sandwiches ( grinders ).

For a very long time, all New Englanders called sub sandwiches grinders. We never called anything other then someone we didn't like Weiners. I don't know about Boston, they have always lived in a universe of their own.

Good morning from our hotel balcony in Sebastian, FL! We are at a resort with restaurants, bars, etc. for my brother-in-law’s bday. He is 63, and his hip (I think) replacement is so old, it creaks when he walks. 😂

Totally different world here vs. Broward County. Barely any masks in Publix. Same at the crowded but open-air complex where we ate last night. (I would not have been comfortable like that indoors.)

The waitress pulled a Disney - she said the food would take 90 minutes to come out(!!!) but appetizers came in 20 while we were busy drinking our buckets of rum with various tropical fruit juices. 🪣 🍹 🍍 🥭

We drive home tomorrow morning. Missing my pup already!

4-ish weeks early...sincerest prayers that your grandchild is doing well.
Our 27+ year-old DS was born 3 months early + 1 month in utero growth retarted (1 lb 4 oz). He’s done pretty darn good, considering...jeez, I could write a book, though...!!!!! :hilarious::inlove::happy:
Again, prayers...

A pic of DS in the NICU shortly after he was born...notice the Bic pen for size reference...

I am not surprised the dog wanted ice cream or go to a hamburger chain.

I've pictures of dogs actually want to go Culver's, but the bad news is the hidden dog menu treats are no longer free there.

I know in Door County, there is a Frozen Custard stand called Not licked Yet and they offer free vanilla frozen custard in a doggie cone.

I found out that Lautenbach's Orchard County Winery & Market Facebook page did mention National Donut day also. That market & winery is located in Door County.

That facebook page showed pictured of a scared donut with orange frosting running on National Donut Day. That donut in question running had eyes, legs, and 2 arms in the air. It also showed different donuts.

That Winery & market has that as one of the pictures on National Donut day because it sells donuts including cherry donuts.
