Guessing this may increase the copperhead population, if there is a lot of new "food" for them. Do we want a lot more copperheads?

In MA as well -- the pollen has been unreal this year. (I don't have allergies, but the pollen is thick on top of everything. If we can get some rain, that might help.)

I think it will be the same number of snakes, they will just be fatter, slower, and lazy copperheads

I haven't seen them yet, but boy are they loud. I'm inside and I can hear them.

Southern Wisconsin is going to deal with cicadas in 3 more years with them known as brood 13.

Now that is hot. My ex lives in Houston and when I visited her one summer I basically melted in the heat.

I don’t remember if I posted about it, but, DWifey slipped on some ice towards the end of “SNOWMAGEDDON 2021!!!!!!!” in the grocery store parkin’ lot and messed up the same knee she had surgery on a few years ago for a similar incident (no ice in that instance).
Got back from the surgery center about 3:30p, and she’s doin’ fine, but, I told her I was Gonna’ make her a buncha’ bubble wrap knee pads...!!!!!

Yep, Houston can be quite the sauna in summer, especially bein’ so close to the Texas Coast.
The heat index is high here ‘cause of all the recent rain.
But, we’ll take it any day after this past winter...!!!!!

I thought Seashell was Madonna the first 3 or 4 weeks. But realized they probably wouldn't get her to participate in such a show. But the Tamera lady has serious voice skills.

Just got done making my Disneyland park reservations!!! I actually booked flights and a hotel a couple weeks ago, being hopeful that Disneyland would open to non-California residents by July. I wonder how much prices have jumped now for flights and hotel now that Disneyland will be open to all.

Yea, our cicadas must be on a different 17 year cycle down here , ‘cause we haven’t heard a single one so far this year. The kiddos used to love the exoskeletons they left behind, so I would pull ‘em outta’ the trees and save ‘em for ‘em...good times...!!!!!

I am probably going to screw up my luck but I have lived here for 10 years now and have yet to see a single Copperhead.

Brood 13 Cicadas are not going to be fast food in Wisconsin to Copperheads. Copperheads are not suppose to live in Wisconsin at all.
