Young and dumb --loved to hit the gas and hear that 4 barrel carb open up on that 327 ci and smoke the tires. Gas was cheap and used tires were easy to come by.Big block, baby!

I was thinking the same thing. The last time I grew it in my garden, it took over everything!Really?? Mint for me has always been there cockroach garden plant. Impossible to kill and spreads everywhere
Catnip is part of the mint family and does that. It's pretty and smells good, but HOLY COW. I have to move mine because it's as big as a small shrub. The only thing I don't like about it is that it looks like hell in the winter and you have to cut it down to the ground or you just have a big mess when it grows in in the spring.I was thinking the same thing. Those have been our prices for weeks. I paid $2.89 at Walmart yesterday and was fine with that. The local Sheetz was at $3.09. The highest I paid on our trip was $2.99 off 95 in NC. I didn't need to fill up after that. Finally filled my car with some gas today, I had planned to on Friday but then I didn't end up driving anywhere until today. My cost per gallon was $2.89 and I saw another station was at $2.90.
My Suburban averaged 20 mpg for the most part on our trip this past week. I thought that was low cause when I took a trip to VA in April I got 24.4. I think it must have been cause of the darn traffic on 95 in VA this time. It took an extra hour to get home because of it.We had (and Mom and Pop still have) a ‘70 Chevy Camper Special with a cabover camper (minus the camper for many years now) on it back in the day.
Has a small block 350 with a Rochester Quadrajet, and the best mileage it ever got (with the camper on it) was 12 mpg highway with a tailwind...Pop kept accurate records regarding our camper road trips, but, otherwise, I have no clue what it got/gets city-wise, or with the camper off, but, I’ve driven it many, many times since, it’s pretty funny how fast that gas gauge plunges...!!!!!
We put the baby pool out for the ducks that have been hanging around our yard. That would be my other son James would name them egg layer one, 2 etc.. He's been asking for pet chickens or ducks

Our mint is all over the place. My husband wants to pull it cause it has just taken over.I don't think my mint is going to come back. I don't know why it doesn't, but I did buy some mint at the garden center yesterday. It was even marketed at Mojito Mint!
Mom puts all her herbs in pots for that reason.Really?? Mint for me has always been there cockroach garden plant. Impossible to kill and spreads everywhere

EDIT to included: the place actually closed up today 5/19/2021. Sad! We used to have some Disney fan gatherings there when I first moved to the area. We'd meet at the store entrance and head to the Food court to swap experiences. Fun, but it didn't last long. I forget now which Disney discussion board I was part of back then. Might even have been this one. All I remember is that the members used to go to Home Depot to get a paint chip that people made into a identifying patch. Something is telling me it was lime green and was in the shape of a Mickey head. But, it was a stressful time so I may be remembering a dream. Not the meetings, they actually existed, just the memories of the discussion board.Confusing day today. On one hand kind of joyous because for the first time in months my back has allowed me to walk a solid portion of our local mall. That is great! Bad news: as I walked past the Disney store here in the mall I had to gaze upon a giant sign that said
“this store is closing”. I always look forward to seeing that store with the big Disney sign and the smiling Mickey face. One more thing disappearing. (Picture wasn't taken today. The entire store is 50% off right now.)

My first car was a hand me down accord hatchback. Loved it. Happy with my large family and luggage carrying vehicle.40 mpg in the Civic.
Disney Store was the place to go for those in-between trip times. Sad they are closing.EDIT to included: the place actually closed up today 5/19/2021. Sad! The thing was FUGLY, too....baby poop brown with unprimed bondo all down the passenger side, 3 kill switches (1 to start it, 1 to keep it running, and 1 for the electrical), and the exhaust from the converter back was in the trunk in case I got pulled over (because you could hear me coming from about 5 miles away). I paid $200 for it in 1988.
But I was the only 16-year-old at school with their own car.
That'll be a problem if I ever have kids. I have no desire whatsoever to go back to having an SUV. Thankfully that won't be a problem for a while. My first car was a hand me down accord hatchback. Loved it. Happy with my large family and luggage carrying vehicle.

We had to take Driver's Ed to get our permit at 15 1/2 and then license at 16 (otherwise you had to start 6 months later and wouldn't be fully licensed until almost 17), so not everyone did it, and most kids' parents didn't want them having their own car right away and/or made them save up for something better than my POS.Haven't heard that term in a while...!!!!! Which would have made it a BUFF, as well...!!!!!
My Cutlass didn't even have a catalytic converter, and DWifey and I got married in '88...!!!!!
And wow...I cant remember a 16-year-old at our school that DIDN'T have their own car...!!!!!
We had no butcher at all. You just ordered meat from farmers that raised beef or pork. They would cut it up, and you would pick up.
