Confusing day today. On one hand kind of joyous because for the first time in months my back has allowed me to walk a solid portion of our local mall. That is great! Bad news: as I walked past the Disney store here in the mall I had to gaze upon a giant sign that said
“this store is closing”. I always look forward to seeing that store with the big Disney sign and the smiling Mickey face. One more thing disappearing. (Picture wasn't taken today. The entire store is 50% off right now.)

I remember postin’ a few years ago how I found out our local mall Disney Store, that I was a CM at, closed...I showed up to to do one of my usual clothing stores closers at the time across the way and the gate was closed and it was all blacked out. Definitely a bummer, though I hadn’t worked there in years, and hadn’t even shopped there in over a year.
Ours was one of the older “Pink and Green” Stores...that one looks like one of the newer “Imagination Park” Stores.

Yeah got side tracked from a lot of stuff today plus I started working on the Drink Drunk Cart!

Basic construction is done for the frame, it will be a mobile, wooden, all terrain drink cart (no namby pampy small caster wheels).

A few features:
* 2 feet by 4 feet, about 3 feet from ground to surface area
* Cooler
* Access to cooler via a hinged lid on the main bar area
* as mentioned 8" semi-rigid wheels
* Polyurethane top
* stained (color YTBD)
* galvanized pipe holder for umbrella
* galvanized pipe handle (12-18" in length, about 2 inches in depth
* towel hooks
* bottle cap opener
* planning on racks for 2 wine bottle size and 3 alcohol bottle sizes holes so they can stand vertically.
* Nook for the Margarita maker.
* Bottle cap open attached to side.
* metal attachment for mower attachment pin so it can be towed behind one of my lawn tractors
* Electrical junction box so I can plug it into power
* Cable hooks so electrical cord can be stowed

:D;)

Young and dumb --loved to hit the gas and hear that 4 barrel carb open up on that 327 ci and smoke the tires. Gas was cheap and used tires were easy to come by.

Yep, used tires used to be easily had. It’s a CYA thing these days, as legal action could ensue from such things.
The last car I had with a 4 bbl. carb was also the last new car I bought...’85 Mustang GT with the 5-speed 302 (5 liter). The sound of the secondaries kickin’ in was always as heart-pumpin’ as the throaty exhaust notes of that ride...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
And, ‘85 was actually the last year they had the Holley 4 bbl. carb, as in ‘86 they were fuel injected...and, actual fuel injection, not a throttle body type setup.
Although I haven’t driven it in a few years, the Camper Special sounded similar when you kicked in the secondaries, but, only difference was you could actually see the gas gauge droppin’ at the same time...!!!!! :hilarious:
Fortunately, it has a saddle tank, on the opposite side of the tool box, that came in very handy for those yesteryear road trips...original tank behind the seat holds 20 gal., and the saddle tank holds same...!!! :)

My first car was a 1960 Plymouth Station Wagon. Not exactly my first choice but the only one I could afford. It was a real chick magnet! Looked just like the one below, except with a white top, no whitewalls and a little less chrome. Slant six engine and three on the tree. It also had a weird shaped steering wheel. I was 16 at the time.

A buddy of mine from back in the day had a Plymouth Duster with a slant-6. That puppy got up and hauled decently, but, the Duster was quite a bit less bulky than the pic of this boat you posted...!!!!! :hilarious:;)

Hasn't been a Disney store around here for a very long time. But I know what you mean -- you could walk up to it , and it was the happiest store in the entire mall. You'd go inside and feel like you were back at Disney again. You could get a mini-fix of your favorite park, in between actually taking trips down to FL. RIP Disney stores. :(

It was a good engine, but that boat was large. By the time you got it up to speed you were at your destination. It also burnt more oil then gasoline. About a quart every 500 miles. At one point it was adding almost pure STP. (summer only) Otherwise, I had no real problems with it, except it was bad for my image.
