Anyone else watch some of the Oscars last night?

What I always prefer to watch are the Red Carpet PRE-SHOWS (ABC and E networks), where they highlight the glamorous gowns. (I only watched the beginning of the actual Oscars awards show, itself.) The star interviews were the usual fare, but it was so nice to see a non-Zoom, in-person-show! :)

My top 3 Hollywood, Red Carpet gowns:

Carey Mulligan (Vallentino -- gold, ballgown)
Regina King (Louis Vuitton -- red, ballgown)
Amanda Seyfried (Armani Prive -- red, ballgown)

MUSIC:

I liked that (ABC's) pre-show had some music previews. Although I'm not current with all the most popular music, I thought Gabi Wilson (H.E.R.) was outstanding! She sang, I Will Fight for You (from the movie, Judas and the Black Messiah). She also played the drums, and had great back-up musicians and stage dancers. And, oh yea -- she won an Oscar for Best Original Song, too!!!

Regina King's dress was stunning but her plastic surgery on her face was over the top. Her face was really stretched too far back.

My aunt had a timeshare condo at Orange Lake in the early 1990s. I recall when I visited her that Orange Lake had a gigantic pool for the guests. It was almost the size of half a football field. It was a nice condo and surrounding grounds from what I can recall. I think the place probably has improved their areas in the last 30 years.
It has 4 different villages and I have no idea which I will be in. River Island is one that has the huge lazy river but I don’t think there are three bdrm villas there. The place is huge so I am glad I will have my car. They have cabanas to rent but found out too late. All the ones by the waterpark area are reserved already.

No, I have no interest in that kind of stuff anymore. Always happy when a Disney cartoon wins though because those animators are super talented.

That's an interesting observation. I also noticed something slightly different in her look, but couldn't put my finger on what it was. (I assumed it was probably just extra stage makeup, etc., not to mention the gown, which was gorgeous and distracting.)

I can't find a picture of the Regina King one...the only one I'm finding is a blue gown, not red. Do you have a picture?

@Songbird76 , I could only find these images, but the fancy gown was gorgeous. (I might have mixed up the name of the actress, but she's famous, as you'll probably recognize her face.)
I don't recognize her, but I am terrible at matching actors names and faces. But my friend Google says this is Angela Bassett. I couldn't have picked her out of a lineup, but I saw a picture that had Regina King, Angela Bassett, and someone named Marlee Matins? or something like that, who I also don't know, and I googled each name with "Oscar 2021" and this was the dress that came up with Angela Bassett's name, so I think it's her.
