I also start Monday, but I think because Mondays bring me a business mindset. Sunday is for relaxation and chores and whatnot. But when Monday hits, it's time to get to work.

Yep, the weekend to me is time off from the firm. That used to include gettin’ off at 1p on Fridays. But, with this past crazy year or so, we’re still doin’ OT, on Fridays and during the week. But, so far, I haven’t worked past about 4p on a Friday. So many are remodeling, adding on to, or building new homes ‘round here these days.
Just crazy times...there is such low home inventory, but, such high demand. The house 2 down from us just sold for $100,000-ish over askin’ price (which was already priced beyond ridiculous), to a family from Cali.
Of course, it’ll all bust again at some point in the future, but, it shows no signs of slowin’ down anytime real soon. DWifey and I are considerin’ puttin’ our place on the market at some point down the road, and downsizing. The bidding wars are just crazy, and so many buyers don’t even really care about the condition of the home...they’re just interested in the dirt...i.e., location...!!! 🤷‍♂️

Yeah it's an insane time to buy a house. In our area nearly twenty percent of houses are being bought with cash. Like full cash offers, above asking price by thousands, and waiving things like inspections and repairs

The inventory is low in our area too. House flippers buy houses with cash then send an army of contractors to rehab the recently bought house inside and out. In a matter of six months the house is flipped and resold for a higher price.

It seems the ferret has gone from one animal that bites to a thieving one that bites:cautious:
Racoons are a pain to be put in a cage and will wake people up if put in a cage. They also can do property damage.

As far as Mr. Racoon's statement of never been in a bar in Milwaukee goes, I think he might want to go to the Bayside Tavern in Door County for that instead of Milwaukee. It's been years since I at bar food in Milwaukee in years since NASCAR no longer goes to the Milwaukee Mile. There is a bar across the street of the race track and the food was not bad. The food is cheaper across the street than at the race track.

Bayside Tavern for drinks has beer, soda, hard cider, wine, coffee, tea, milk, juice, cocktails, iced tea, and lemonade. Bayside for food has Fish, Fish fry, Pizza, Chili, soups, Munchies & sides. Salads & Vegetarian sandwiches, burgers, Hot Dogs & Bratwurst, Sandwiches, deli Sandwiches, and Desserts.

Yep, it’s not just here in Austin/Central Texas...it’s in overdrive here, but, it’s happenin’ in many parts of the country. And, yes, if you’re payin’ all cash you can have whatever you want waived, not so much with needin’ a loan.
Just looked at the estimated value of our home again for the first time in a few weeks, and almost choked...beyond $30,000 more...!!!!! :greedy::hilarious:

The guy that bought the house 2 houses down from us spent a mere 2 weeks “improving” it before he “ flipped” it.
Our neighbor took great care of it, and the only noticeable difference on the exterior was the paint scheme.
I’ll bet all involved are happy.
