We’ll be headin’ over to my folks to celebrate Easter tomorrow, for the first time in 2 years...a rebuild from a house fire on Jan. 29th of 2020 and a damn-demic ;) later, and family traditions will continue...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
The vast majority of us have all been completely vaccinated, but, we’ll still be following proper protocols...just so very heartening that things are finally getting back to sort of normal-ish...!!!!! :happy:

Lake time!!!!

:joyfull::hilarious:
Pretty sure you’ve heard of it before, but, a buddy of mine from way back in the day owns “Just For Fun” watercraft rental on Hudson Bend. He was also the “visible” partner (1 of 4) at the Carlos’n Charlie’s next door, until they closed permanently in ‘13 because of the severe drought. Fortunately, “Just For Fun” survived.
Enjoy your Lake Travis time...!!!!!!! :joyfull:

I've never heard of giving gifts for Easter...except maybe a stuffed bunny in the easter basket maybe. But that's the extent of it. My mom used to make chocolates and these sugar eggs that were hollow inside and then you could put either a religious scene or easter bunny scene inside of it.

She obviously didn't make this one, but this is what hers looked like.

She would make a bunch and she'd take those little green plastic containers for strawberries,

and use them as baskets with one of the sugared eggs, and some chocolates in them, and we'd leave them in people's cars on Easter morning so they'd get them when they went to church. That was the closest we came to giving gifts for Easter.

Nobody in my house eats candy and my kids are older so they each get a small gift card or movie for Easter. This year is gift cards. My dh is getting a electronic thingy and I'm getting an LED lamp that I was going to get this month anyway

We do gifts for Easter, but it's stuff for spring/summer I was going to buy anyway. This year A got a new scooter since she's outgrown her old one, and a soccer ball and net. And three pairs of summer shoes. It's all crap I'd have to buy anyway, but she gets more joy when it's a holiday thing, lol

Getting back to the gifts for Easter I hope all of southern Florida bought records from @Tony the Tigger to give tomorrow
How did you know?

I was concerned about ruining our streak of amazing weekend sales. So on Sunday, one store is open with one employee for 6 hours. The other is by appointment only (with no appointments booked.)

But between Friday and Saturday, we already rang up what we’ve been ringing Friday through Sunday (!!!) We were absolutely slammed today. So if we do any business at all on Sunday, it’s not just gravy, it’s extra gravy.

And on Monday, the last three personal credit cards with balances will get paid off. (And I get my second shot.)
