Yeah, we have taken 81 also down till we would cross into NC, but it is slower, hilly, and very turny. Can only go so fast on it.
That is why I cut across near Littletown. I hit I-66 than connect to RTE 17 straight to Fredericksburg. The road is good and it comes out at I-95. I have used that route for years. Also a lot less traffic once you're off I-81 and completely skip Baltimore and DC and that 40 mile parking lot headed toward Fredericksburg. Richmond can either be bypassed or go right through the town. Most of the traffic has gone on the Bypass, but that is optional. I usually make that decision when I get there depending on the time of day.

Have taken that exact route also I believe in VA. Is it a two lane road at one point? If so, then it can be really annoying getting stuck behind a slow driver.

Same. Hate phone calls. Would you be happier if you could text all those people?
Or just straight up email, but unfortunately it's because we updated our banking information, so you have to call them before you email them to let them know your email isn't fraud. I don't mind making or receiving internal phone calls so much, but external ones are the worst.

I had one person hang up without answering. Just picked it up, went "Click" and then hung up. I'm like, really???

Hate text / email. So impersonal.
If you call me without texting first, there's a 50/50 shot I won't answer. Sometimes, when the phone rings, I look at the caller ID, and unless it's my mother, my grandmother, or my one best friend, I debate for 10-20 seconds whether to actually answer. If I can do something online (ie book an appointment, contact customer service, etc.) rather than make a phone call, I will, every single time.

I almost always let calls go to voicemail. I answer for my kids that’s usually it. My Mom always goes to voicemail, with her I want to know the topic. Often it is I have some real bad news....****has died. 9 times out of 10 I don’t know who **** is.
