Believe it or not, I've never been to Olive Garden. (Runs and hides . . . :p )

I have seen photos of the food though, and at least it looks good. There are some locations in my state, but none near me. (Not to mention, we haven't been to any sit-down restaurant at all, since last February, even though some have limited indoor seating.)
I can't blame you. It hasn't been that long for us, but cases were down sooooo much in the summer that it was pretty safe at the time. Now all our restaurants are closed anyway, so you can't go out to eat, but I wouldn't even if they were open.

As for not ever having been to an Olive Garden, I know not everyone is a fan of Italian food, or of Olive Garden food. My son won't eat there. And you've got your go-to places where you are regular. We have favorite places as well, and I have a list when we get "home" on vacation...I have lists for Gillette, I have lists for Laramie, and when we are in Laramie, we try to make a trip to Fort Collins to go to Bisetti's. We do like to try new places out once in a while, but sometimes it's hard because we can't afford to go out often, so if we keep trying new places, we can't go to the ones we know we like. It's a toss up. But, if you've got your favorite places, why would you need to try Olive Garden? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless it's something you've really been wanting to try, I wouldn't worry about it!

OK, I’ll play along.

Uh oh - looks like I deleted my beignet pics, so here’s an alligator sausage sandwich I enjoyed on my last day in NOLA in 2019 with some SONY execs. (They bought. That makes it taste even better.)

Nice...!!! :) I’ve had alligator several times before, and it has always been tasty...!!!!! :hungry:
Our first mornin’ “The Ruby Slipper” brunch with my beer and shrimp and grits from the same previously mentioned youngest DD weekend NOLA 21st b-day trip from Sept. of ‘15...!!!!! :hungry:

I've obviously never been to Reale's, but yes, Bisetti's is also way better than Olive Garden. It's owned and operated by an Italian family and it's soooo good. It's one that if you don't have a reservation, it can take more than an hour to get in. It's really popular and you can't really just walk up. I'll take Olive Garden if I'm not in the Fort Collins area, but if I have the choice, I'd go for Bisetti's any day. Unfortunately, that's an hour and a half drive from Laramie, so it's not always doable. Sometimes you just take what you can get.
Oh, I understand, and Bisetti’s sounds a lot like Reale’s.
We have an Olive Garden less than 5 mins. away on the opposite side of our neighborhood. We’ve had more than a few meals there over the years, and none of them have ever been bad. We also have a Maggiano’s about 20 mins. away just across the street from youngest DDs place. Maggiano’s is definitely a step up from Olive Garden, but, Reale’s is definitely better than Maggiano’s...!!!!! :hungry:

Because all my cooking stuff is old (except for my Instapot), I decided to buy a (6 quart) Dutch oven (cast iron with some sort of glass cooking surface in the pot). Didn't realize the price of cookware had increased (with tax it was around $75.00, but I wanted a solid one from Lodge). It can be used on any range top, and in the oven. Bought it at Target.

Cooking a pot roast now in oven, with potatoes, carrots and onions. Hopefully, it won't come out hideous. :hilarious: No guarantees! :p

Oh, while I was first browning the roast on the stovetop, I opened a cabinet and pulled out a pyrex measuring cup, and I dropped it. Broke into about a hundred pieces all over the floor. 🤦‍♀️ Then again, it's one less thing I have to wash now!

O.k. I realize that you don't have much experience with snow, way down South. But may I suggest that you go out and buy her chains for those tires, for traction in the snow. (Also, I'm glad that she didn't get a ticket for driving her vehicle on the sidewalk.) :joyfull:

:hilarious:
When Mom and Pop bought the ‘70 Chevy Camper Special with the camper on it back in ‘71 in No Cal it came with chains, as the guy that owned it previously drove it into the snow-covered No Cal mountains a few times.
The first time my Pop actually got to use them was during those 3 snows we had here in Austin back in ‘85, that I’ve posted about before. His work was cancelled each time, so he drove around helpin’ folks pull their vehicles out of culverts, ditches, etc.
Obviously, a crazy sound those things make, especially when they start makin’ contact with sections of cleared road...!!!!! :hilarious:
